Magic Bullet - Derek

One night Derek had been following the alpha all through Beacon Hills to try and figure out who it was. He was close behind them and almost caught up to them.

While Derek was chasing them, the alpha decided to attack Kate Argent while she was driving. Naturally, she fought back and tried to shoot them. When she couldn't find them but spotted Derek, he got the bullet full of wolfsbane that was meant for the alpha.

While this was happening, you were waiting back at the old Hale house for him. You wanted to go with him and help track down the alpha, but he insisted you stay back. He was afraid of you getting hurt, but now as the hours passed, you were afraid he got hurt.

You were sitting on the staircase thinking of everything that could've gone wrong, but your thoughts were interrupted by the door swinging open. You jumped up and pulled your claws out instinctually, but you quickly realized it was Derek.

"Derek, you scared me. I thought," you paused and sniffed the air, "I smell blood."

He stumbled forward and nearly fell to the ground, but you caught him just in time and sat him down on the staircase. He groaned in pain as he rolled up his sleeve, revealing a bullet wound that was blue from the wolfsbane.

"Oh my god, Derek."

"I'm okay for now, we just need to get another bullet."

"Okay," you sighed heavily, "Do you know who shot you?"

"Kate."

You groaned, "Great," you paused and looked at his already worsening form, "Okay, I'm going now. I'm sure she's back at Chris' place, I'll just sneak in and steal one."

He grabbed your arm, "No, it's too dangerous."

"Derek you'll die if I don't!"

"I'll have Scott get one tomorrow. She doesn't know he's a werewolf, and he doesn't need to sneak in since he'll be with Allison."

You held his face in your hands and stroked his cheeks with your thumbs, "Fine, but you better stay alive."

He chuckled weakly, "I'll try."

The next day Derek had gone to the high school looking for Scott, you had gone to the Argent house to try and get the bullet quicker if the opportunity arose. At the school, Derek did find some other lacrosse player named Jackson who thought he was a drug dealer, but no Scott. At the Argent's, you tried to get in but Chris, Victoria, and Kate were all there, it was way too risky to try to find another bullet.

You left the Argent's and walked back to your car that you parked a few blocks away. Once you were safely in it and away from the house, you called Derek and told him you couldn't get in. He told you he had found Stiles as he was walking through the parking lot, and they were now on their way to the animal clinic.

You started the car and began driving to the clinic, "I'll meet you guys there. Is Scott coming or what?"

"Okay, yeah he's going to the Argent's first to get another bullet."

"Alright, he better get it quickly."

His breathing was heavy, "Hopefully."

"You need to rest now. I'll be there soon, okay?"

His breathing was still heavy, "Yeah, okay."

You said goodbye, hung up, and continued driving towards the animal clinic. You were driving a little faster than you should've, but you didn't care, you needed to get to Derek as soon as possible and make sure he would still be alive when Scott there.
