You were at Liam's house, just hanging out and spending time with him. You were sitting across from him on his bed, talking about everything and anything.

You were enjoying yourselves, until the conversation took a turn and became about your brother, Corey. Liam hated him, and you knew it was because of everything that happened with him, Theo, and the other chimeras.

"It's just hard for me to trust him, okay? Can't you just understand that?"

"I understand that it's hard for you to trust him after everything that happened, but you need to keep an open mind. Why can't you give him a second chance?"

"Sometimes people don't deserve second chances."

"What?"

"I think that some people do things that are so bad, they don't deserve a second chance."

Your heart dropped when he said that, this was your brother he was talking about. You looked at him in disbelief for a few seconds, but then switched to an angry gaze.

"Well, you better reevaluate your beliefs considering you nearly killed Scott and he forgave you."

He looked down at his lap sadly and you immediately felt bad for what you said, but you knew he needed to hear it.

He stayed looking down, "That's different."

"How is that different, Liam?"

He shot his head up to look at you, "Because I was under the influence of a super full moon! I still didn't have good control over my powers yet! What I did was wrong, but it wasn't voluntary!"

"It wasn't just the moon, Theo got in your head too. You trusted him at first just like Corey did. He's the one that made Corey do what he did. He's the one that Corey trusted because he was given powers he didn't ask for and he didn't know who else to turn to. Not to mention, Theo is the one that brought Corey back to life, so of course he trusted him. We all trusted him! This is his fault, don't blame Corey for what Theo did!"

Liam sighed heavily and ran his fingers through his hair roughly, "(Y/n), please just try to understand where I'm coming from. I can't trust him yet."

"Fine," you stood up and grabbed your jacket, "don't trust him."

He stood up and followed you as you walked over to your shoes, "Where are you going?"

"Home."

"(Y/n), I know I don't like him but—,"

You cut him off, "Save it Liam. You're not seeing the point here. I'm not saying you need to be best friends with him. All I'm saying is I want you to give him a chance. Let him prove to you that he's trustworthy, because he is. And I am not just saying that because he's my brother. He's proven to me multiple times that he is trustworthy, loyal, and has a big heart."

You paused and took a deep breath as Liam watched you intently.

You continued, "I've told you everything about my parents and how they do not care about me or Corey. They didn't notice when Corey died, and they didn't notice when I was gone for days looking for him. That's how much they just don't care," tears started forming in your eyes, "but Corey has always cared. He has always cared about me, he has always made sure I was okay, he has always been there for me, and I've always done the same for him. Before you and Mason came along, we only had each other. So, can't you just try and understand why this is so important to me?"

He looked at you, sighed heavily and just took your jacket out of your hands, placed it on his bed, and wrapped his arms around you tightly. You returned the embrace and held him as tightly as you could.

After staying like that for a while, he pulled away and looked at you, "I'm so sorry (y/n). I wasn't thinking about how you felt and how important this is to you. If it's important to you, it's important to me."

"I'm sorry too, I hate fighting with you like that. And I understand why you feel so strongly about it. I know it's hard to forgive the types of things he did."

"But I'll give him a second chance, for you."

You smiled at him, "Thank you, you have no idea how much this means to me."

He smiled back, "Anything for you."

You cupped his face and kissed him sweetly. After that fight, you both needed it.

You stayed there for a little while until you separated for air. Once you did, he sat down on his bed and pulled you into him. He may have pulled a little too hard though, because you fell into him and knocked him over in the process.
You ended up laying on top of him on his bed and you both started laughing.

Once your laughter died down, you laid your head on his chest and he wrapped his arms around you. You sighed contently and he tightened his embrace.

"I love you (y/n)."

"I love you too Liam."

You both just laid there and happily fell asleep.
