Your best friend, Stiles, had picked you up after work since your car was at the mechanic's getting some work done. So, the two of you were just sitting in the Jeep, talking a little bit before he started driving.

"Stiles?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you ever get the feeling people are hiding stuff from you?"

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know, sometimes I feel like the people closest to me are the ones who keep the most secrets."

You looked at him and he scoffed, "You mean like our friends? Oh come on (y/n), there's no way—,"

You cut him off, "Stiles. I know everyone is hiding something from me, don't tell me you are too."

"Look, lets just say I am hiding something from you, hypothetically. It'd be for your own good."

"Wow."

"What?"

"That's the same thing Isaac said."

"I'm sure he has a good reason," he paused, "hypothetically, obviously."

"Stiles, you think I can't tell when you're lying? We've known each other ever since we were 4. Come on, if you really want to keep something from me, you need to do better than that."

You got out of his Jeep and started walking away. He rolled down the window and yelled out to you, "Come on (y/n), where are you going?"

"I don't know. First my boyfriend lied to me and now my best friend did. I'll figure something out."

"It's late and a full moon, it's too dangerous for you to walk out there."

"I don't understand the whole thing about full moons. I'll be fine."

You walked away and Stiles followed you in his Jeep, so you turned into the preserve so he couldn't follow you anymore. You felt your phone vibrate as soon as you did that, so you ignored it, knowing it was him.

You didn't know where you were going, so you kept walking and followed the trail to an exit on the other side of the preserve. Once you were out of the preserve, you saw a familiar building, Derek's loft.

You don't know why, but you felt like you should go there. Maybe it was because you felt like Derek wouldn't lie to you like everyone else. Or maybe it was because, as much as you hated to admit it, you were scared to be out so late, and your house was no where near walking distance.

You walked up to the building, went inside, and climbed the staircase up to the loft. You knocked on the door but no one answered. You knocked again, no answer. You knocked a third time, still no answer. You were going to leave until you heard some noises coming from the old train depot downstairs.

You walked down the stairs and couldn't believe what you were seeing. Derek, Isaac, Scott, Erica, and Boyd, in some half human-half animal form. It looked like Derek and Scott were fighting Erica and Boyd, while Isaac was breathing heavily in chains.

You were just standing there in shock when, all of a sudden, Scott turned and looked at you, "(Y/n)?!"

Derek threw Boyd to the ground and looked at you too, "You need to get out of here! Now!"

You just nodded and went to go back upstairs, but Erica had spotted you and ran towards you. You tried to get away but she grabbed you and threw you where everyone else fighting. Boyd went to attack you, but Derek grabbed him, threw him into the wall, and chained him up while he was out of it.

You were watching in shock until Erica's roar brought your attention back to her. You quickly got up and backed away as she stared you down and started running towards you. Scott tried to grab her, but she grabbed him first and threw him across the room.

She continued running towards you and you were almost positive this was how you were going to die, until you heard metal snap, a roar, and saw Isaac tackle her. Scott ran over and stood in front of you while you watched as Isaac wrestled Erica. He eventually threw her towards Derek, who was ready with more chains.

Boyd and Erica were chained up and nearly unconscious, but Isaac was still standing in the middle of the room. You walked out from behind Scott, "Isaac."

Isaac looked at you while Derek and Scott walked towards you. Derek called out to you, "(Y/n), don't go near him."

You turned around and looked at them, "He's not going to hurt me."

Scott looked at you like you were crazy, "He doesn't have full control yet, you don't know that."

"Yes I do."

You walked up to Isaac with Derek and Scott following closely behind, just in case. He was still in his animal-like form, but he seemed to be in control of it.

You put your hand out slowly as he looked at you. You carefully touched his face and traced your fingers over his animalistic features. You smiled ever so slightly and moved your hand to cup his cheek. His facial features began to soften and he returned to his human form.

You smiled fully and jumped into his arms. He immediately wrapped his arms around you and held you tightly.

Derek and Scott just looked in disbelief, they couldn't believe Isaac was able to control himself so quickly.

He pulled away from the embrace and looked at you, "You're not scared of me?"

"No, why would I be?"

"Because I could've hurt you. I could've killed you."

"Yeah, I guess you could've, but I knew you wouldn't."

"How?"

"Because it was still you, even in that form. Plus, you did break through your chains just to save me."

"Oh, yeah. I couldn't let her hurt you, I'll never let anyone hurt you."

You smiled, "Thank you."

He smiled back but it quickly faded, "Wait, are you mad that I didn't tell you?"

"No. I was mad at first when I knew you were keeping something from me, but now I'm not. Now I know it really was to protect me."

He smiled again and just kissed you in response. You stayed there for a little while, until Derek interrupted.

"If you're going to do that you can go somewhere else."

You and Isaac separated and you spoke, "Alright alright."

Derek began asking you a thousand questions to make sure you were okay. He wanted to make sure you weren't hurt during the fight. In the meantime, Scott asked Isaac a question, "How were you able to control yourself so quickly?"

Isaac looked at you and smiled, "My anchor was standing right in front me."

Scott smiled a little and nodded.

As you were all finally going upstairs, you felt your phone vibrate for the millionth time. You took it out of your pocket and prepared to answer it.

Isaac looked at you, "Is that your mom?"

"No, it's Stiles. He was going to drive me home from work until I got mad at him and got out of the car."

Isaac rolled his eyes playfully, "And then ended up here."

You nudged him, "Yeah yeah. I need to answer him before he has a heart attack, but I'm sure I can get him to take us back to my place."

He smiled at you, "Sounds good to me."
