Nightmares - Isaac

"(Y/N)!! RUN!!", your boyfriend Isaac called out to you. You turned around and saw a huge...werewolf? Werejaguar? Werelion maybe? It was some kind of beast, it looked like something straight out of a Greek mythology book.

You began to run, you had no idea where you were going. Everything looked dark and unidentifiable. You called out to your boyfriend, "Isaac?! Isaac where are you?! Isaac!!"

He was nowhere to be found, neither was the rest of the pack. They were gone.

All of a sudden you hit into a wall and fell to the ground. You turned around and looked up at the beast staring down at you. It seemed to laugh at you. In a deep voice it spoke, "Do you really think he can save you? Do you think anyone can save you? You knew you weren't cut out for the supernatural world, but you
insisted on helping after you found out about it. How dumb can you be? You're nothing more than a helpless human before."

It grabbed you by the neck and lifted you from the ground. It laughed again, "Pathetic."

You looked it directly in the face. It's features were unclear, but it was terrifying. You saw it draw back its fist and you braced for the impact to come. It was about to make contact with your face when you jolted awake and sat up in bed. You were breathing heavily and tears were streaming down your face uncontrollably.

You looked to your right and saw your boyfriend, Isaac, sound asleep. You put your head in your hands and whispered in between breaths, "It was just a dream. It was only a dream. A nightmare."

You got out of bed carefully so you wouldn't wake up Isaac. As soon as you were out from the covers you shivered, you were only in one of Isaac's t-shirts and a pair of shorts. You wrapped your arms around yourself and walked to the kitchen to get some water.

You walked into the kitchen, got a cup of water, and walked into the living room. You placed the cup on the table and looked out the window at the stars. Looking at the stars was always calming, but you were so shaken up from your nightmare it was hard to relax.

You were standing there for a while, still thinking about your nightmare, when you felt two arms wrap around your torso. You immediately tensed up, which wasn't normal for you to do.

Isaac spoke sleepily, "(Y/n)? What's wrong?"

You turned around in his arms and looked at him, "Nothing Isaac. Nothing. Just...let's go back to bed."

He was fully awake now and he knew you were lying, "It's not like you to get out of bed in the middle of the night and come down here. It's also not like you to tense up when I touch you. I could sense the fear on you from miles away, what's wrong?"

He looked at you with puppy eyes and it melted your heart. Tears began to stream down your face again, "I just...I had a really bad nightmare. It was terrifying. It was too real, too close to our reality."

He wiped your tears away and hugged you tightly. You held onto him as if he would disappear if you let go. He stroked your hair and spoke softly, "It was only a dream baby, that's all. It's not real, and it never will be. I promise. And if anything like it were real I would do everything in my power to protect you. Nothing is getting to you without going through me first. I promise."

You answered him, "Thank you Isaac. Thank you so much. I love you."

"I love you too (y/n), more than you'll ever know." He pulled away from the hug and kissed you, staying there for awhile.

After the kiss you began to grow tired. Isaac noticed, "Are you ready to go back to bed?"

You nodded tiredly. He smiled and lifted you up bridal style. You wrapped your arms around his neck and leaned your head against his chest while carried you back to your bedroom.

He placed you on the bed and then got in next to you. He laid down and you snuggled against him, your head on his chest and his arms around you. You were wrapped up in blankets and each other.

"Goodnight (y/n), I love you.", he kissed your head and you smiled.

"I love you too Isaac. Goodnight."

You both slowly drifted to sleep and had nothing but sweet dreams involving each other.
