The Shy One - Liam

You were always shy when it came to talking to people you didn't know, asking for something, or being in large crowds. The only time you were fully comfortable and out of your shell was with people you really knew, like good friends and family.

It really was strange, especially since you were Stiles' younger sibling. He was so outgoing and spastic in a way, people expected you to be the same way, but you weren't.

One day you walked into school with your older brother, and you met up with Scott. Scott was one of the rare people you were comfortable with.

You smiled at him as you walked over, "Hi Scott!"

He smiled back, "Hi (y/n)!"

Stiles was trailing behind and finally reached the two of you. He looked at you and yawned, "I don't know how you're always so cheery in the morning."

You and Scott laughed, and Stiles eventually did too. You were about to say something, but you heard someone call to the boys.

"Hey Scott! Stiles!"

You turned around and saw a boy running over towards the three of you. He was shorter than Scott and Stiles, but still taller than you, he had light brown hair which was almost blonde, baby blue eyes and he was pretty muscular for a high schooler. You recognized him, Liam Dunbar, Scott's new beta.

He reached the three of you and smiled, "Hi guys! Oh, hi (y/n)! I didn't see you behind Stiles."

You felt your face get hot, so you looked down at the floor and played with your hands, "Hi Liam."

He smiled wider at your actions and his cheeks grew a shade of pink before continuing, "Um Scott, Stiles? Coach wanted, um, wanted to talk to you guys in his, uh, um his office. Yeah, like a Senior meeting or something."

You noticed how Liam was tripping over his words, so you looked at Stiles and saw him wink at Liam. He continued, "Okay, let's go see what Coach wants, Scott. I'll see you later, (y/n)."

You widened your eyes and gave Stiles a pleading look, you knew Liam, but you weren't fully comfortable around him yet. He just gave you a reassuring smile, and then dragged Scott away from you and Liam.

"Um, (y/n)?"

You looked at Liam and your face grew hot again, "Y-yeah?"

"Since we're, um, finally alone. I wanted to see if you maybe wanted to go on a date with me sometime? Obviously you don't have too if you don't want too I was just asking cause I really like you and I have ever since I first met you and I figured—"

You smiled and cut him off, the way he was acting made you feel a little more confident, you weren't the only one who felt nervous and shy, "Wow, and I thought I was the nervous one. I would love to go out with you Liam."

His face lit up, "Really? You would?!"

You laughed a little, "I really would."

"Okay great! Um, I'll call you and we can make plans for, um, how about this weekend?"

"That would be perfect."

"Okay, I'll call you then! See you around (y/n)!"

"See you around Liam!"

He ran off and you heard him calling out to his best friend Mason, you laughed at his childish excitement, but couldn't help but feel the same way.

All of a sudden you saw Scott and Stiles running towards you, they skidded to a stop and bombarded you with questions.

You laughed, "Woah, guys, one at a time!"

Stiles spoke first, "So did you say yes to Liam?!"

"Yes I sa—wait a minute, how'd you know Liam asked me out?"

They both widened their eyes and started doing the obvious guilty actions to avoid answering, like whistling and checking the time.

You rolled your eyes, but couldn't help laughing, "You guys set this up, didn't you? Well......thank you. I didn't think someone like Liam would be into me, because I'm so quiet and shy."

Stiles walked to your side and put his arm around your shoulders, "Are you kidding? That's one of his favorite things about you!"

Scott walked over to your other side, "He always went on and on about how he thought it was so cute, and how he knew he could break you out of your shell and know the side of you that very few people know and how special it would be."

Your face lit up, "Really?!"

Stiles ruffled your hair, "You bet, kid."

With that the bell indicating first period would start in a few minutes rung, so you fixed your hair quick, said bye to Scott and Stiles, and made your way to your first class of the day.

Once you got there and sat down in your seat, your mind began to race as you planned out what you would wear and do on your date with Liam. You knew that you should focus on what the teacher was saying, but you were so happy and excited, that you just couldn't.

I know it's been quite a while, and I know that these requests I'm working on were made in September, but sometimes life just knocks you down and it's not easy to get up again. But lo and behold, I'm back and I promise to get these requests done. Thanks for not getting angry about it, it really means a lot and I really appreciate you guys.
