Christine's POV

"Mistro, if you don't mind could you play Hannibal while the dancers warm up, I must rehearse with the chorus on this part," I ask him and he nods respectively. "Chorus, get together, dancers please have control of the jete, do not sound like a group of elephants," I tell them.

"Mistro," I say and the orchestra begins. "Maria," I tell the woman playing Carlotta, are you ready," I ask her and she nods. "Victor, be prepared, chorus, listen to the music," I instruct.

This trophy
From our saviors
From our saviors
From the enslaving force
Of Rome!

Her voice sounded eh, which was what we wanted for Carlotta, but she still had talent. The chorus prepares themselves and I focus on the dancers.

With feasting and dancing and song
Tonight in celebration
We greet the victorious throng
Returned to bring salvation

The trumpet of carthage resound
Hear, Romans, now and tremble
Hark to our step on ground
Hear the drums!
Hannibal comes!

The dancers looked decent for the first rehearsals, Victor came out an I began to listen.

Sad to return
To find the land we love
Threatened once more
By Roma's far-reaching grasp

He sounded like Piangi and I felt as if this was a good round. "Alright, this is a run through, we will pratice the litle parts later, but first let's go through all the songs." Suddenly a presence filled the air and I knew it was him.

"Christine, my angel, sing for me," he instructs, "your scarlett song, it is next in my opera, just as I taught you," he says. "Sing for me."

The crowd begins to hush and I slowly prepare myself to sing a long forgotten aria.

Think of me, think of me fondly
When we've said goodbye
Remember me once in a while
Please promise me, you'll try

When you'll find that once again you long
To take your heart back and be free
If you'll ever find a moment
Spare a thought for me

We never said our love was evergreen
Or as unchanging as the sea
But if you can still remember
Stop and think of me

Think of all the things
We've shared and seen
Don't think about the way
Things might have been

Think of me, think of me waking
Silent and resigned
Imagine me trying too hard
To put you from my mind

Recall those days, look back on all those times
Think of those things we'll never do
There will never be a day
When I won't think of you

I was prepared to sing the next line but then Nicolas sings his part.

Can it be?
Can it be Christine?

Long ago, it seems so long ago
How young and innocent we were
She may not remember me
But I remember her

I smile at him and begin to finish my song.

Flowers fade, the fruits of summer fade
They have their seasons, so do we
But please promise me that sometimes
You will think of me
