Looks like a lion, thinks like a rabbit

Looks are deceiving, or is it habit

To judge the outside before the within

Why did I, with open arms, let you in?

You have a tarnished and a foolish mind

An invisible shadow left behind

Are my eyes so old and so paper thin

Why did I, with open arms, let you in?

Why didn't I, with the back door, let you out?

Can I not see what you are all about?

Somehow, you fool, seeped through my tender skin

And I, with welcoming arms, let you in

At the break of dawn a knight found poor me

His lips promised me that I've been set free
