She heard the sirens but she didn't care

They warned the storm would come and break her house

She drank her whiskey on a rocking chair

And then spilled some on her favorite blouse

The thunder warned that she'll be burning soon

And all that she is now will turn to dust

Tonight there's no protection from the moon

And there's no star out there that she could trust

The waves of pain wash over with the wind

Soon she was all alone, and deaf and blind

Kindness was not to be shown here tonight

There was no panic in her and no fright

The angels will forgive her soul and bring

A pair of beautiful golden wings
