He huffed, she puffed, and sat at two corners

He'd steal a look when she was not looking

She had a dainty masterpiece cooking

To reel in the heart of her wild charmer

She'll give him the cold shoulder, not look back

Leave him wondering if she gave a damn

Would he fight for her, would he choose to scram?

Her sweet tactic was the perfect attack

And he'd want her to turn around and weep

"My gentle darling, please come back to me"

He'd wait and wait for her to fall on key

But she was clever enough not to peep

They turn around and laugh the final scene

How lover's quarrel could turn them so green!
