The streetlights flicker like twinkling stars

The rivers flow on much like unhealed scars

And here I am wondering where you are

How could you be the one to leave me far?

The moon shies away behind clouds so grey

My bleeding heart was on a golden tray

The roses of May dance against the breeze

And I was left out in the cold to freeze

The numbness follows all the flows of pain

When you don't turn back when I call your name

You walk away and blood is on my hands

Like I'm the most evil in all the lands

And I succumb to the darkness and sleep

With tar tears into a slumber so deep
