If being good enough was good enough

Then all doubts would be erased from this world

If being numb and cruel would make you tough

Then death wouldn't come crawling in the cold

If teardrops were plenty like rain and snow

Then what difference would one small teardrop make?

If my smile like the sun really did glow

Then you won't miss it every time you wake

If silence was happiness then do hear

All the deafening screams I could let out

And if you found my crystal eyes so clear

You didn't dim the lights but caused a blackout

And that my lads is the secret love song

That lovers play all night and all day long
