Sonnet #49

I can go anywhere with my sly mind

Erase the memories you've left behind

But the mirror forever wears it's crack

And for you that's the empathy I lack

I'd roam the world's ends just to find you near

The haunted thought; one day you'll disappear

I'd roam the shores but cleansed I would not feel

Creatures of sadness my fishing rod reels

I'm a woman split in half by love's sense

And sanity finds no home in me hence

So you can cry and moan and feel remorse

I've made my path and would not change my course

Blessed be, may you forever find peace

But I will not be tainted by your grease
