I heard a mocking jay tweeting your name

A melody of love and hope and lust

Its torturous melody reached its aim

And turned all my bitter hatred to dust

I followed the bird deep into the woods

It left behind a trail of gems and gold

My soul lightened as I picked up the goods

That were too precious to be bought or sold

The timber ceased and followed luscious greens

And there you were standing and dressed in white

You claimed my heart and did so by all means

I never thought I'd one day find my knight

And forever was filled with gold and gems

From these precious memories our love stems
