Sonnet #73

Your gaze burns my skin, I forget to breathe

I clutch on tighter to the bridal wreath

The years between you and I follow me

The grand piano plays our favorite key

I take the steps I always longed to take

Deep in my pit the world rumbles and quakes

I know you hear the rhythm of my soul

For you're the fine treble that makes it whole

I stood before the rest of my life now

I listened to every breathe-taking vow

I heard our unborn children laughing

The music brought about a great feeling

But the moment we promised our I do's

You stole a glance at the girl dressed in blue
