She rested her heavy head on her hand

And sighed only lovers' would understand

The pain weighed her heart down like an anchor

The light in her eyes by time grew darker

Her pearly tears are running down her face

She clipped her wings and was falling from grace

She didn't know the love with whom to share

For the one she shared it with was not there

She sat on her rocking chair and she wept

Its been a century since she had slept

She cannot tell the day from night no more

Her voice which whimpers now was once a roar

The only cure for heartbreak is sweet time

And the company of rhythm and rhyme
