Let me talk about the two halves of me

The half of light and half of pure darkness

For one is merry and loves like a child

The other is a bitter, tender mess

The golden light of one is warm and kind

And leaves a gentle breeze that stirs your soul

But when you compare the light to the dark

The dark is darker than the dark of coal

But when the two halves meet they do collide

And start about a civil war inside

And confuse my heart between wrong and right

Sleep escapes my eyes each and every night

Angels and Demons dance inside my head

Their shadows linger all around my bed
