Sonnet #77

As I cleansed my foul soul under the rain

All my roots and branches set free the pain

So I ran down the hallway past your door

I don't know why I've noticed it before

The sirens stopped for the very first time

Since I have unchained myself from your crime

I'm not lost in the shadow, nor the dark

The further I move on I see the spark

That magnifies when I am free of you

No longer will I be told, "Why so blue?"

I've grown, I'm stronger than I've ever been

No longer will I wipe tears off my chin

My body shows no sign of a blood stain

As I cleansed my new soul under the rain
