If ever I wanted to run away

I'd go only if you would come with me

If ever I stumble and lose my way

You come to mind, open my eyes to see

The shining star that forever goes on

The hideous night that's now forever gone

The ocean blue, the cursing of the sun

The brave knight chose to be the only one

If I do to you what you do to me

Then I succumb to all your lovely ways

If ever life gets me to let you be

I will put out the sun and all it's rays

But love like that I seem not to find here

For love lives both in hope and sadly fear
