Dry lightning cracked across the sky tonight

Cold wind whipped all over my hair tonight

The storm and I had issues we can't face

They weren't related to any moon's phase

The cycle this year had unwanted stops

The deepest rivers to the mountain tops

Wherever I go I may run and hide

The lightning is always one step behind

See, I've taken the road that's less travelled

My mind and heart are somehow now leveled

The storm and I have washed away our sins

The rainbow never bothered to show since

But now my days are dry and crystal clear

My dreams are close but closer are my fears
