We stand in front of the prison, Aang gripping the bars as we talk to the mayor. " Honorable Mayor, we've prepared a solid defense for the Avatar. We did an investigation and found some very strong evidence" Katara grins.
Sokka leans back, pointing to himself, indicating that he was the one that found the evidence. Rolling my eyes, I flick his forehead, Aang chuckling behind the bars.
"Evidence? Hmph! That's not how our court system works" the mayor growls.
"Then how can I prove my innocence?" Aang asks.
"Simple. I say what happened, then you say what happened, and then I decide who's right. That's why we call it justice. Because it's "just us" the mayor laughs, turning around and leaving us.

The next morning, Aang, Katara, Sokka and I sit to hear Aang's fate.
The mayor swiftly moves across the courtyard, standing before the crowd. " Everyone loved Chin the Great because he was so great. Then the Avatar showed up and killed him, and that's how it happened" the mayor says, wiping away a tear. Turning, he joins the rest of the crowd in the stands.
" The accused will now present its argument."
Taking a breath, I look over to Aang. Trying to boost his confidence, Sokka says " You can do it, Aang. Just remember the evidence"
"Right...evidence" Aang fumbles, standing and taking the mayor's spot. " Ladies and gentlemen ... I'm about to tell you what really happened. And I will prove it with facts. Fact number one." Aang grins to the crowd, but stops "Uhhhh."
"The footprint!" I whisper to Aang his expression lighting up.
"Oh, yeah. You see ... I have very large feet. Furthermore ... your temple matches your statue. I was in a painting at sunset. So, there you have it, I'm not guilty" Aang finishes, looking over to us.
Instantly Katara, Sokka and I all hold large, and of course fake smiles, Sokka even giving Aang a thumbs up. "He's dead" Sokka mumbles, holding his smile.
" Mayor Tong, I'd like for the court to hear one last testimony" Katara tries, clasping her hands together.
Angrily, the Mayor spits " I've already told you, it's just me and the accused. You can't call any witnesses!"
"But it's not just any witness" Katara tries again "I'm going to call, Avatar Kyoshi herself!" The crowd erupts into hushed whispers.
"What are you doing?" Sokka and I ask in sync once Katara sits down. Before us Aang is covered in Kyoshi's clothing, the large pieces eating him up.
