"I told you, I'm not interested" I sigh, setting the tray back down on the counter. Throughout my entire shift, a young man wouldn't leave me alone. I couldn't let my day be busy, today was special.

The man tries again "Please, I promised my parents that I would bring some of the best tea in Ba Sing Se to my sister's birthday party."

Turning around, I cross my arms "Do you have the owners approval? Or even the cash to pay for it?"

"Yes, and yes" the guy grins, holding up a piece of paper between his fingers. "The owner promised that you could help me carry the supplies to my house, along with making tea during the party."

"Why you-" but before I can spit out an insult, Grandpa yanks me back. "Did you let this happen?" I ask angrily.

Nodding, Grandpa grins "Your tea is as good as mine Azara, and I couldn't help myself. The man is quite handsome." Shocked, I take a step back. Was Grandpa trying to set me up?

"Grandpa, you know I still love Ren" I whisper, holding the necklace between my fingers.

"I know, but you remember what Prince Zuko said..there's a chance he's passed on" Grandpa sighs. "I don't want you to get your hopes up that he is alive."

Scoffing, I turn, taking the bag from the counter "fine."

Once outside, the man leads me through the streets of Ba Sing Se. "So where are you from?" he asks, dodging a fast paced man holding a vase.

"Somewhere you've never been too" I sigh honestly.

"Well I'm Jiro, your Grandfather said your name is Jasmine" Jiro grins, turning up around a corner. The marketplace slowly vanished, turning into large houses with large yards.

He was clearly from the Upper Ring. I should've noticed from his fancy outfit, the silk shining under the sun. "How come you're walking, clearly you're rich enough to afford a carriage."

"The money is not mine to spend" Jiro says indifferently. "The house is here."

Turning another corner, my mouth almost hangs open. This was one of the nicest houses I've seen since I lived in the Palace. A sense of home filled me as he led us inside.

"I told you! The flower vases need to go against the east wall!" a voice hisses angrily.

"I see you're in a good mood" Jiro chuckles, making the girl turn around. Her long dark hair hung perfectly around her face. Both her and her brother shared the same light green eyes along with a lighter skin tone.

"And who is this?" she questions, walking around me.

"Ela, meet Jasmine, she'll be brewing the tea" Jiro says quickly.

Rolling her eyes, she waves me off "Just set up on an empty table." My fists clench, heat forming along my fingers. Perhaps I was finally starting to get my family's incredibly short temper.
