Mahdia turned her head to look at Ahyan as he sighed. The two of them sat facing the tower.

'I understand what you must be thinking of me. You must be thinking I am not serious and am just fooling around with you.' Mahdia looked down embarrassed, it is exactly what she is thinking or precisely Lydia is making her think.

'Truth be told, I am attracted as of now but there is something more and I have come back to figure out that something.' He turned his head, he held her gaze as he went on, 'but one thing is for sure, I have never felt this something with any other women, and trust me I had many women around me trying to get my attention. But I didn't feel the pull I feel with you.' he confessed. Every word of his felt real, it touched Mahdia's heart and gazing into his eyes, she knew that he wasn't lying.

Before Mahdia knew what, she was saying words rolled out from her tongue, 'Are you a virgin?'

Ahyan looked at her shocked, Mahdia bit her tongue.

Looking at her expressions Ahyan couldn't stop laughing, 'I had been so busy with work that I didn't have time for any women or anything else.' He said frankly

'So, are you?' Mahdia felt little confident. Ahyan smiled and nodded, 'never even kissed a girl.' He confessed with ease. Mahdia blushed looking away. There is silence between them, Mahdia interrupted the silence, 'Me neither.'

'You want to kiss a girl?' Mahdia looked at Ahyan wide-eyed, he smiled and she realized he was joking. She smiled too looking away, she pushed behind a random strand of hair as she looked front.

'I have never kissed a boy.' She said. Ahyan smiled little, she turned her head and looked at him, their gaze getting locked.

The cab halted in front of Mahdia's house and she climbed down. She poked her head inside the open car door, 'Come home, Mariam will be happy to meet you.' she said. Ahyan opened his mouth to accept the proposal but then his phone rang, it is from his home. He looked at her helplessly. Mahdia was little disappointed but she didn't let it show on her face. She flashed a smile and bid goodbye.

'Good-bye!' Ahyan smiled. He picked up the call as the cab drove away, Mahdia watched the cab go with her hands in her overcoat pocket and smile on her lips- Lydia was wrong about Ahyan.

Ahyan lay on his back on the bed, a broad smile on his lips. Last two weeks was terrible for him. The two days he spent with Mahdia he felt alive, like a new person. Less stressed and lighter.

What he felt in the days without her, he was miserable. He couldn't concentrate in his work, something that never happened to him. The strangest thing that happened to him was when he was seeing her everywhere and in everyone including Kumar and that was the last straw. Ahyan smiled and turned to his side, he grabbed a pillow and stared at the wall front. But there is a big complication- his parents. Ahyan fears that if he is indeed in love with Mahdia how will he speak to his parents about this. And what about the promise he had made to himself of marrying someone of his parents choose. When he had made, this promise he wasn't prepared for this. He was never prepared for love.

Suddenly he recollected his elder sister's words.

'Love just happens, one can never be prepared for it?' Sadaf smiled lovingly at her brother.

'How you know?' a curious eighteen-year-old Ahyan asked. Sadaf smiled placing an arm around his shoulder and pulling him closer, 'I know and you will know too when you fall in love.' She said confidently.

'I will never fall in love, love is for girls.' Ahyan made a face. Sadaf chuckled, 'and girls fall in love with boys and boys fall in love with girls. It comes when you least except it.' Ahyan had admired the confidence in his sister's voice, it seemed like she knew how it felt like being in love.

'Okay! Okay! What you are saying maybe right but then, maybe...just maybe he is lying to fool you. Have you thought of that?' Lydia said as she kneaded a dough. Mahdia pushed a baking tray inside the oven and straightened up, she glared at Lydia, 'I know, Lydia. I just know he is the right man. At times, we should listen to our hearts rather than brains.' Mahdia said seriously.

'I am just looking out for you.' Lydia shrugged.

'Well, thanks but no thanks, I am not a baby.' Mahdia angrily removed her apron and threw it on the counter startling everyone including Lydia. Mahdia glared at her one last time and turned around and with her chin raised high she walked into her cabin.

'When Mr. Ahyan Malik comes, inform me.' Mahdia poked her head from her cabin door and ordered Alex, who nodded and called for a waiter/waitress. Mahdia glared at Lydia one last time before disappearing back into her cabin.

Lydia sighed shaking her head, she got back to work.

Ahyan looked up from his laptop when he heard someone clear their throat. He looked at Mahdia, she is dressed casually in a maroon cold shoulder knee length dress with white sneakers, her hair tied in a half bun but the best part where Ahyan found his gaze linger slightly longer was the nose stud glistening on the right side of her nose, with kohl in her light brown eyes and the nose stud she has a very exotic and sexy look. She smiled at him taking her seat across him.

'Here I have looked at these properties, it is closer to my hotel and this café.' Mahdia liked it when he considered properties closer to her café. He forwarded her his laptop, she smiled at him before turning her attention to his laptop.

Ahyan watched her as she looked at the laptop screen, her eyebrows furrowed in complete concertation. Ahyan admired her, she is looking very adorable. She placed her index finger on her chin tapping it slightly and Ahyan smiled.

'I think we should check this one first.' Mahdia pushed the laptop towards Ahyan, he held the laptop, his palm resting over hers. Mahdia quickly retracted her hand, a crimson red hue appeared on her cheeks. Ahyan noticed it but pretended to not notice, he focused on his laptop instead.

Once he gave a nod, Ahyan decided to have breakfast and Mahdia left him alone.

Lydia looked at Mahdia as she entered the workstation, the two shared a cold eye-lock before Mahdia walked up to her counter. Alex silently watched them, he isn't liking this.

'Merci Beaucoup, Monsieur.' Mahdia said gratefully as she shook hands with a middle-aged balding landlord.

'Merci...Mo...Sir!' Ahyan tried to copy Mahdia but failed miserably. Mahdia and the man chuckled while Ahyan's cheeks burned with embarrassment. He shook hands with the man. Ahyan signed the check and handed the advance to the man, the man forwarded him the one- month contract. As Ahyan signed the dotted line he felt happy, Mahdia beamed happily.

'Welcome, to my new home.' Ahyan said opening his arms. Mahdia nodded and looked around the posh studio apartment.

'You should have a house-warming party tonight, what say?' Mahdia nudged his arm. Ahyan looked confused, 'I hardly know anyone here.'

'You know me, my family and Lydia...we will be enough.' She assured him. Ahyan looked at her skeptical but then nodded after few seconds. He likes being alone, but now he is enjoying people's company specially Mahdia's.

'Okay then, see you tonight.' She smiled at him as she stepped out from his apartment. Ahyan felt slightly disappointed as she had to leave now and he was alone to set up his new home. Mahdia felt disappointed too, but she can't ignore her café, also she must coax Lydia, after all, she is her only best friend in the whole of Paris.
