Reximus
Something was going on.
When Victoria pulled Riley Evans, the school's second biggest bitch, into a bathroom to comfort her, I didn't know what to do. Walk away? Say something? Help her?
So, I settled for following them and waiting outside of the bathroom. And when Victoria emerged after Riley, I listened to Victoria and stayed back.
The second bell had already rung by the time that I began to move my feet, but I couldn't force myself to rush.
I was probably just being paranoid, as always, but I couldn't help thinking that I was being left behind again. I hated myself immediately for being clingy and annoying. Victoria was surely allowed to have other friends. It just didn't seem like a friendship. It was almost as if Victoria was playing mother-hen to one of the most popular girls in school. I knew, from experience, that Victoria could be mother-like, but to Riley Evans; the girl that she sneered at behind her back and rolled her eyes at the very mention of her name? It just didn't fit.
The fear that I was being replaced was still there, in the pit of my stomach, but I was confused, too.
What was going on?
