Anna
He was waiting for me that Friday morning, as he always was, but this time he didn't say anything when I approached him. He didn't smile until he grabbed my hand. His face was red and he was fidgeting. I opened my mouth to ask him what was wrong.
He leaned in and I was unable to move. I wasn't sure that I wanted to.
I stopped thinking about the students meandering around us as the thought of Jessiah and our eyes locked together took over my mind.
Our lips melded together to form a kiss, my very first. At first, I was frozen with the shock of Jessiah kissing me, but then I was kissing him back like I would never get to see him again.
It lasted only a few seconds, but it felt as if it would never end.
Jessiah was the first to break away. He glanced at me sheepishly, averting his eyes to the ground.
For a moment, we just stared at each other, the air thick and awkward. Finally, I blurted out the first thing that I thought of.
"You stole my first kiss, you know?"
"Sorry," he murmured.
"It's okay," I told him. "I liked it."
