Ed and I left the restaurant and honestly it was not as I expected. It was not fun and romantic as I expected but it had been boring and for the only thing that opened that mouth was to criticize those around us or to make jokes with double meanings that were neither pleasant nor funny. He offered to take me and I said yes. It's not like I have another choice, it was too late and I had come in his car. We got home, got out of the car and he followed me. When we were in the entrance he spoke:
-Helena, you do not seem to have enjoyed the night- it sounded a bit disappointed.
-Ed, I really did not. You have behaved in a very different way to the one I know - I said seriously
He rubbed his temples and said a little sadly with his head down: - I'm sorry, I was really nervous about what to do because tonight was what defines our relationship and I think I ruined it -he gave a sad smile- I'm sorry.I felt very bad for him. I approached slowly and put my hand on his cheek, he smiled at me and I smiled back and said:- Do not worry. An appointment will not define our relationship. We can remain friends for the time being. I think we are not ready to be something else. But that does not mean that in the future this is not the case.
He smiled at me brightly
- Are you serious?
- Of course.
- Oh, Helena - cupped my face with her hands- Can I kiss you? - he asked with hope. I simply nodded. Then I felt his lips touch mine tremblingly and I returned the kiss in the same way. We separated and he smiled at me. He kissed my forehead, wished me good night and left. When I saw that it was opened the door and I entered my house.
