After the Iris message ended. The demigods left at camp went back to work. Ceasy helped tend to the people that were sick. Jade tended to Jason along with Lydia and Joette went back and forth between patients. Nico shadow traveled away, probably to visit his father Shadow thought. Leo however was acting more suspiously, he shut himself inside his own work shop and refused to come out, saying he had a big prodgect to do.

Shadow was Nico and Zayns half sister, she had come to camp in the middle of Zayns quest last year and she had a goddess as a companion who seemed to have taken a fancey to Zayn and now seemed to think it was okay to pop in out of the Hades cabin randomly.

Shadow was thankfull that Nico hadn't found her out yet, so she was unsuprised when she spotted the godess Julie, sitting on Zayns bed, waiting for Shadow to come back with a wickid glint in her eyes.

Shadow stormed in looking pissed of. Why was Julie hear again? Zayn wasn't here for gods sake! Shadow demanded, not caring she was talking to a goddess "What are you doing here?!"

Julie giggled, waggling her finger at Shadow "Now thats no way to speak to a goddess is it? I mean I was going to give you some information I thought you should know but I guess if you don't want me here..." Julie trailed of and with a smirk turned away to go but stopped as Shadow swallowed her pride and asked "Wait! What is it? Is it something to do with the quest?!"

Julie simple told her before she disapiered "I think you should check on Leo" Then winked at Shadow before disapiering. Shadow cursed, wondering why all gods had to be so irritating. Shadow walked out of the Hades cabin to almost bump into a Hecate boy, Jones.

Jones looked a little sheepish but asked her "Hey, um you don't suppose you know where Nico is do you?"

Shadow shook her head, Jones face fell, looking disapointed then sighed and walked away, in a hurry. Shadow watched after him thinking, huh...Thats odd...

Shadow then shook the odd encounter from her mind and walked over to Leo's own work shop he'd built for himself that was on the edge of the camp, near the forest that surrounded him.

After some hesitation Shadow knocked on the door. No one answered, Shadow frowned, she didn't hear anyone in there but she swore Leo had gone in there...  Shadow tried the door that was locked.

She looked around then brushing her hair back slightly, she concentrated on the shadows that soon engulfed her and focused on shadow travelling in to the work shop, after what took her a couple of seconds the shadows diversed, allowing her to look around the work shop.

Everything was a mess, she noted maps had been thrown across the room, some seemed to have been ripped apart from someones anger but something caught her eye. A strange clock sat on his table that was in the middle of the small work shop and a crystal sat next to the clock.

Shadow walked up to the table. She picked up the crystal turning it in her hands. Then she looked at the clock on the table, it was a strange clock, it was square, made out of wood and looked hand made, though the hands were very odd, they had writing written on the hour hand which said Oath on it and the minute hand that life written on it, she noted that it also didn't seem to work though she felt a odd feeling coming from the crytal and the clock, like strange...magic feeling?

As she looked at it, Shadow suddenly realised even though the clocks hands wearn't moving she could hear it ticking? But that was impossible wasn't it? And as she lisrened to the ticking sound, the daughter of hades felt a strange sence of dread, for some reason she thought of a ticking time bomd and a strange fearful feeling gripped her as she thought of the clock stopp ticking.

Suddenly the door slammed open and Leo's angry voice echoed around the room "Hey! What are you-"

Leo stopped shouting as Shadow turned around, he looked shocked then his cheecks reddoned as he stammered "S-shadow? What are you doing here?"

She didn't know why the change of attutute but Shadow wanted to know what was going on, maybe what ever was going on with Leo could help on the quest somehow? Shadow asked him curiously "Whats going on here, Leo?"

Leo seemed to deflate at her question, looking a little nervouse. Leo closed the door behind him, locking it. After a few minutes of silence, Leo said hesiantly, still looking red in the face "I'll tell you if you promise not to tell anyone?"

Shadow agreed quickly, her curiousity getting the better of her.

Leo leaned agaisnt the wall, he licked his lips nervously "In the war against Gaea I met a girl, all alone on a island..." So Leo told her, everything just came out, he told her of Calypso, how they hated each other at first then...He told her about the Oath.

Leo walked over to the table, picking up the ticking clock "You see" He said "I swore an Oath on the Styx to get back to Calypso and this is my time limit"

At Shadows confusion Leo explained more "You can't brake that kind of oath without something horrible happening to you. With a little bit of Hecate magic, this clock will tell me when my time runs out for finding Calypso then..." Leo said way to carmly "I'll probably either get very badly hurt or die somehow"

Shadow gaped at him, how could he be so calm about this?

"And how do you know when you're time runs out?" Shadow asked shakily.

Leo said simply "The clock strikes 12 and the ticking stops and I'll know...My times run out..."

Shadow turned away hurridly "You've got to get help, I-"

Leo grabbed her hand, pulling her back from running out of the work shop. His look of desporation and his strong hands stopping her from going any futher as at the same time he gasped out "No!"

Shadow groaned "Leo..."

Leo pleaded, still holding her hand firmly "Please, I've got to sort this out on my own, please, please don't tell anyone Shadow!"

Shadow asked softly, looking at her hand that he was still holding "Then why did you tell me?"

Leo looked at his hand still holding hers then dropped her hand quickly, like she'd stung him, his face blushing furiously. But Leo finally answered after a few minutes as he said "I guess I just needed to tell someone...you know?"

Shadow somehow knew there was more to it that that but smiled comfortingly at him as she agreed "I know"
