*Caitlin's POV*

I stood in the airport, waiting for my boyfriend Shawn to get off the plane from Australia. It would have been a really long flight, since Australia had a 16-hour time difference from Toronto, and I knew that he would need someone to drive him home.

I finally saw Shawn walking over with his backpack slung over his shoulder. He did look really tired and there were bags under his eyes.

"Welcome home, Shawn," I called, giving him a quick hug, "How are you?" I ran a hand through his hair, getting it out of his face.

"Exhausted," he said, "I just want to sleep for about a year."

"Aww, well you'll get home soon. Let's get your luggage real quick," I held his hand and we walked over to where the luggage was given out. We got Shawn's bags and guitars and took them outside to where it was dark out.

Once everything was loaded in, I noticed Shawn weakly leaning against the side of the car.

"What's wrong, Shawny? Do you have a headache?" I asked, taking his hand and rubbing it softly.

He nodded.

"Here, let's get you home so you can lie down," I advised, helping Shawn inside and getting in the drivers seat. I started to drive.

When we were almost home, I noticed Shawn's head bobbing up and down. He would fall asleep for a second and his head would fall. But then he would sit up and try to stay awake, again and again.

"Shawn, babe, just lean your seat back so you can sleep," I suggested.

But he stubbornly refused, "No, I don't need to. I'm fine."

I laughed lightly at how he was still trying to be independent. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him lean his head against the window, using his arm as a pillow. And he stayed like they even though it was probably rattling his head. In no more than ten minutes, we were home.

"Shawn," I shook his shoulder, "Baby, wake up. We're home."

His eyes fluttered open and he sat up. I decided to just leave his bags and get them in the morning since I couldn't carry them all myself.

Shawn hopped out of the car and shut the door behind him.

"Come on," I took his hand, leading him inside, "Watch your feet. Don't trip." Somehow, he didn't trip, gladly. I led him to our room.

"Thanks, Caitlin," he said quietly and sat down on the edge of the bed.

I went to the closet to change and when I came back, Shawn had lied down and was already fast asleep. I smiled and climbed in bed, throwing the blanket over him. He was breathing slowly, his lips slightly parted. I placed a hand in his face, planting a kiss on his cheek.

In a few minutes, I was also asleep.

The next morning, I opened my eyes and I could feel Shawn's arms tightly wrapped around my waist from behind. I tried to move, but I was stuck in his grip. The clock read nine o'clock, so I waited a few minutes for Shawn to wake up.

Eventually, I felt him shift a little bit. "Good morning, darling," Shawn said in his morning voice, still holding me.

"Good morning, Shawn," I smiled, "Can I sit up?"

"Nope," he breathed, "You have to stay right here."

"Why?" I whined.

"Because I missed you," Shawn told, "I've been gone forever. So now I'm going to be clingy forever."

"But I want to get up," I protested.

Shawn pulled my arm and I rolled over to face him. "On one condition," he kissed me on the lips quickly, "I get to stay with you, preferably always with my arms around you, all day."

"How can I say no to that?" I grinned.

Shawn sat up and I followed. We went to the kitchen and Shawn made a point of holding my hand literally every second. He basically made coffee with one hand.

He took a sip from the mug, "So what's for breakfast?"

"How about we make pancakes?" I offered.

"Sounds good."

I got the pancake mix out and Shawn got the rest of the ingredients. We put all of it together in a bowl and mixed them together. Then we poured some onto the pan in circles.

"Okay, Shawn, you have to flip it carefully," I said, handing Shawn the spatula.

"Hey, I got this," he smiled, "I know how to make pancakes."

"Mmhmm," I mused.

Shawn started to flip the partially cooked pancake, but it didn't flip all the way and folded in half.

"Oops," he laughed.

"'I know how to make pancakes,'" I mocked him, playfully.

"Okay, okay. You can make them now," Shawn stepped away from the stove.

I chuckled and finished making them, putting them on a plate. Shawn started to reach for one.

"Shawn, wait they're hot," I warned, but he grabbed one anyways.

"Ow, you're right!" he cried and dropped the pancake on the floor. I started laughing and carefully picked it up, throwing it in the trash.

"That actually hurt though," he shook off his hand.

"Come on, let's eat," I said once my laughter had calmed down. We sat down across from each other and had breakfast.

Afterwards, Shawn continued to basically follow me around and treat me like his princess. He must have told me a million times how much he loved me and missed me and it was the cutest thing.

I hope this was good. It tried to make it as long as I could.
I'm just going to wait for new music from Shawn now✌
