*Shawn's POV*

It was weird being at a bar without Y/n with me. We had been dating for two years and we usually went everywhere with each other.

But I was on tour (had been for almost a month) and I was bored of just sitting in my hotel room every night. I only wanted a drink and to hang out with the other guys.

That was all going fine until they all left and a woman came walking up to me. She was probably a couple of years older than I was, wearing a short, black dress. As I watched her walk, my vision kept becoming a bit blurry, an obvious side effect of the alcohol.

"Hey," she said with a slight smile, her eyes staring into mine.

"Hi," I replied, returning the smile.

She sat down on the stool next to me. "What's a guy like you doing here all by yourself?" she asked, her eyes not leaving my face.

"I'm a singer and I'm on tour at the moment. I'm not from here," I explained, "And all of my friends and band guys left, so here I am."

She stepped down from the stool slowly and stood just a little bit closer to me. I did the same and our bodies were centimeters apart. "There's no one else that you go out with other than your friends?" she questioned.

I realized I was leaning my face closer to hers and I froze. I spoke, "Well, there's my girlfriend Y/n, but she's not here. She's at home." And that is where it should have ended. I should have came to my senses and walked right out of the building. Gotten a cab to get back to the hotel and call Y/n before I fell asleep.

But I didn't.

I started to lean in to kiss her, but stopped, getting unsure at the last moment. She must have noticed because she eliminated the small distance in between our lips. And I kissed back.

*Y/n's POV*

Ever since Shawn had gotten home from tour three days before, he had been acting weird. He seemed distant like he always had something on his mind. And whatever he was thinking about seemed to be troubling him a bit.

We hadn't talked as much as we usually did and Shawn hadn't acted as excited as I expected him to be after a whole month of being gone. I was a little worried about what was wrong and my concern only increased once Shawn said he needed to tell me something.

I was sitting across from him on the couch. "What is it?" I asked.

"Okay," he took a breath, "Before I say this, I just want you to know that I didn't mean any of it and it was all a mistake."

"Shawn..." I said warily, "What did you do?"

He was staring at his hands in his lap, "I um...I met a girl at a bar and we...kissed."

My jaw dropped and I could feel my anger rising. "When was this?" I demanded.

"While I was on tour," he said, flinching as he waited for my reaction.

"Are you kidding me, Shawn?" I shouted, standing up, "You leave for a month, and you think it's okay to hook up with some random chick at a bar? While I'm sitting at home. Alone and waiting for you!"

By then, Shawn had stood up as well. "Y/n, I swear I didn't want to!" he pleaded, "I was drunk. I didn't know what I was doing and I didn't mean it. I don't even remember her name."

"Do you think that makes it any better?" I shot, "Do you think that just because you admit it to me and say that you were just drunk, that it just magically makes everything okay? Because news flash, it doesn't!"

My anger started to dissolve and I started to get emotional instead. "Did you sleep with her?" I questioned.

"Y/n please-"

"Did you sleep with her?" I loudly demanded again.

Shawn slowly nodded, refusing to meet my eyes.

I couldn't believe it. My eyebrows scrunched together as I blinked multiple times to keep back tears. "That's it, get out!" I yelled, pointing to the door.

He started to slowly move in that direction. "But-" he tried.

"You can come back and get your stuff tomorrow," I interrupted, "Just leave!"

Shawn finally listened to me and turned, heading for the door. He opened it and left without a word, obviously guilty.

I locked the door once he was gone and leaned my back against it. I slid down to sit on the floor as my head fell into my arms.
