Hey! This imagine is sort of for Thanksgiving, so sorry if you don't celebrate it. It's not completely focused on the holiday, so it should be fine. Also, I obviously can't make this fit everyone's family (it's not even what my family is like) so hopefully you can just use imagination lol. Hope you enjoy!

"Shawn?" I asked, taking a quick glance at him in the mirror, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," he responded quickly, continuing to button up his blue dress shirt. "Why wouldn't I be?"

"I don't know." I leaned in closer to the mirror and finished applying my lip gloss. I rubbed my lips together. "I guess I was just worried that you might be a little nervous for tonight."

Shawn finished buttoning his shirt and looked at me. "I'm not nervous," he tried.

I turned to him and reached for the button at the bottom of his shirt that wasn't in any hole. He had buttoned his shirt unevenly. I raised an eyebrow at him. "Are you sure your not nervous?"

Shawn sighed and let his head hang low. "Alright. I'll admit it, I am getting nervous."

"Hey, it's okay," I comforted. Slowly, I started to fix the buttons on his shirt. "There's no reason to worry, babe. You've already met my parents once before anyway."

"Yeah, but today is Thanksgiving. And it's not just your parents. I'm meeting most of your family. I want to make sure they like me," Shawn added, "Plus, the one time when you introduced me to your parents was so quick. We barely had time for a handshake. I need to make a better impression this time."

"Okay," I stated, "I know I can't stop you from wanting to impress them, but can you promise me that you'll try not to be so hard on yourself? You're an amazing person and I couldn't ask for any more than that. My family will love you, I know it."

"Okay," Shawn nodded, "I promise."

I put down the collar of Shawn's shirt and pressed a kiss against his jawline. "If you get too nervous or overwhelmed, just tell me and we can take a break outside."

Shawn smiled and intertwined his fingers with mine. "Thanks, hun. I'm ready to go if you are."

It took just over half an hour to get to my parents' house. The sky was mostly dark even though it wasn't even five pm yet. I turned the car around the last corner and saw the house where I grew up. Inside, the lights were on and there was also a soft light on the porch. To me it looked warm and inviting.

However, Shawn probably wasn't feeling the same thing. He was biting his bottom lip and he looked anxious.

I quickly found a place to park in between the multiple cars parked on the street that I knew where all from my family. I didn't have the largest family ever, but we definitely weren't small. I put the car in park and held Shawn's hand in mine. He squeezed it. "Are you ready to go inside?" I asked.

Shawn took a deep breath, puffing out his cheeks and then blowing the air out. "Yeah," he replied, "Yeah, I'm ready." He shot me a nervous smile.

I smiled back and leaned in, kissing his cheek gently. Shawn returned it with a kiss on my lips. "You got this," I encouraged before undoing my seatbelt. We both started to get out of the car.

"All you have to do is be yourself," I reminded once I met him on the sidewalk, "They're going to love you. I'm so excited." I grinned up at him as we walked.

Shawn put his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him. "I'm excited too."

We continued to walk down the sidewalk to the house and then headed up the pathway to the front door. Before we could even knock or ring the doorbell, the door clicked and swung open. My mom and dad stood on the other side and behind them I could see my younger cousins peeking around them to see out the door. They must have been waiting for me and Shawn to show up.
