*Shawn's POV*

Staring down at my phone screen, I barely even felt the tears falling down my cheeks. Megan's number was on the screen and my thumb hovered over the 'call' button.

I knew it was late at night where she was, but I needed to talk to her. I needed someone to talk to. Someone who could tell me that everything is okay because I couldn't see how it was. Every thought that came to my mind seemed far from okay. It felt like it was all falling apart.

I pressed call.

*Megan's POV*

It was close to midnight when my phone ringing woke me. The light from the screen illuminated almost half of my room. I reached over and picked it up, answering it before putting it to my ear. "Hello?" I asked.

"M-Megan," Shawn's voice answered. He was clearly crying and he sounded absolutely broken.

"Shawn, baby, what is it? What's wrong?" I questioned.

"I-I don't know," he stuttered, "I've been crying for a while, but it doesn't feel the same as every other time I've been upset. This feels so much worse." He let out a sob.

I frowned at how hurt he sounded. "What's bothering you, honey?" I cooed.

"I just feel like I'm not doing enough," Shawn told, "Everywhere I go there are always hundreds of fans and they all want to meet me or talk to me or get a picture with me. And it's impossible to get to all of them, so I let a lot of them down. I can tell they get upset sometimes. I just want to give enough back to them after everything they've done for me." He started crying again and I wished I could be by his side and just hold him until he calmed down. "I'm not doing enough," Shawn sobbed, "It's never enough."

"Shhhh Shawn, it's okay," I spoke, "It's okay, just try to calm down. Deep breaths, love." Slowly, I heard him calm down a little, but he was still crying.

"Shawn, I promise you that you are doing plenty for your fans, more than enough even," I reminded, "They all love you and want the best for you. They appreciate everything you can do, even if it's only a little. You don't have to give anything back to them as long as you keep doing what you love and being yourself. You should put yourself first."

"Thank you," Shawn let out a shaky breath, "But...why does this feel different? It's like everything is closing in around me. I'm having trouble breathing even."

"It sounds like your having anxiety," I said, "Everyone gets it at some point, don't worry."

Shawn was quiet for a little bit. But then he spoke up, "How do I stop myself from feeling like this?"

"Well, one way is to just keep to just keep talking to other people about it," I suggested, "I'll always be here for you if you need it and I'm sure your family and friends feel the same way."

"Okay," Shawn said. He sounded better like he had finally calmed down quite a bit. "Thank you for talking to me," he spoke, "I'm sorry that I called so late...I just needed to hear your voice."

"No problem," I smiled, "You should probably get some rest. Isn't it like six in the morning where you are?"

"Yeah," Shawn sighed, "I love you, Megan. Thank you again."

"Love you too, Shawn," I grinned, "I'll see you soon. Can't wait to give you a huge hug."

"Me too," he replied and he finally sounded happy again.
