Finchel: Make You Feel My Love

The silence was deafening. Finn offered to drive Rachel home from school, but she never realized how awkward it would be. So Rachel did what she did best, and suggested to listen to a song.

"Uh, yeah. Sure," Finn said, his hand pressing the button on the radio.

Make You Feel My Love by Adele began playing, and Rachel jumped in her seat excitedly. "Excellent! I have this song memorized." With that, she began singing along.

When the rain is blowing in your face
And the whole world is on your case
I could offer you a warm embrace

Finn's grimace disappeared and was replaced by a tiny smile. He began singing the next lines.

When the evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one there to dry your tears

Rachel brought her hand to her face, pretending to have a microphone.

I know you haven't made your mind up yet

I've known it from the moment that we met
No doubt in my mind where you belong

They both finished the song in perfect sync. If an outsider was listening to them, it seemed as though they rehearsed it. However, this was their first time singing together when they weren't performing for glee club.

As the song finished, Finn realized he had pulled into Rachel's driveway. She smiled lightly, thanking him. She leaned forward to peck his cheek to show her gratefulness.

Finn's cheeks heated from the contact. He never felt this giddy with Quinn. Rachel bid him goodbye, waving before she stepped into her house.
