The Ideas: The Alium Universe

Hello! So before you read the story, I want to explain a few things.

1. How did I come up with this story?

- I was actually playing a dating game on YT, where you pick a picture within a category and at the end of the video it will reveal who you end up with. So basically the roles of the boys in this AU was decided by that game. (it's the video at the top btw, if you want to play it!)

I'm going to list down the roles, but not the member (one member can have more than one role) I got it with (so you know why some things were wrote like that, it was because of the game):

2 loyal body guards

teaches how to dance

teaches how to sword fight

teaches how to ride horses

private tutor

dance partner at the ball

says "you're beautiful" everyday

gave you flowers everyday

wrote you poetry everyday

first kiss

General's son

Royal Adviser's son

childhood friend

someone you enjoy pranking

tsundere (cold-person who actually cares)

sings you to sleep

has a secret crush on you

always made you laugh

made a move on you

secret midnight meetings in the garden

made you flustered

your parents doesn't like him near you

always kissed your hand

best friend

follows you everywhere

arranged marriage

the one you marry

love of your life

in the book you'll eventually find who is who, but until then, you'd have to guess ;)

2. Why did I decide to write it in a fantasy genre?

-Well, when I got my results I found it quite funny, and some parts wouldn't make sense in an irl sense. At first, I didn't really plan to write a story out of the game at all, but since I am a writer, I thought, why not? So I went on to brainstorm what would make the results I got make more sense, I ended up thinking of writing it as a fantasy fanfiction.

-I wanted to try something new.

3. This is my first time writing anything in the fantasy genre

-So, if you've been a fan of fantasy for a long time, and you're disappointed with my work I am truly sorry for that. I have read books and watched movies that are of fantasy genre, but obviously that doesn't make me an expert.

4. I researched a lot about how to write fantasy novels

-They gave me tips, but at the end there's no rule. It's all up to the writer's imagination.

5. If some things don't make sense or you feel it needs more explanation

-Feel free to ask me about it. But, since everything is just fantasy, there will be things that don't really have a deeper explanation. Some things are simply, just is.

-However, if there are something that made no sense at all, I may have written it poorly, so please point that out.

6. The way I portray the elves are different from other elves that exist in other novels

-Over the years the stories about what elves are and how they live, have become distinct. So I did use the familiar terms used for elves in my book. Like how they are either near-immortal or ageless, my elves are like that as well. But, you'll soon know more about my elves as you read.

7. The roles

-Even though some members were given a role that says 'always' or 'everyday' it doesn't mean they will do it throughout the story and I won't write that they do it in every chapter, it's a given they do it without being mentioning it.

8. Keep reading

-There will be a lot of confusing and questionable things in this books that's for sure, but I assure you I will try my very best to make things as clear as possible, as you continue to read each chapter.

-also if I were to explain everything that would be spoon feeding and that takes out the fun of letting you figure things out.

9. The POV changes

-I know it's risky to do this, but I don't know why, but I feel comfortable with changing the POVs. Don't worry about getting confused, I won't be changing the POVs within the chapter (unless I feel like it). New chapter = different POV . You'll know whose POV it is, by the title of the chapter ex.
