Jivan has finally recovered and like he said he was taking me out on a date. I couldn't help but think I should be with Tristan, to comfort him. But, after Ninurta reported to Sigmund, I wasn't allowed to go near him. We didn't even meet this morning for our morning classes.
I was now staring at myself in the mirror, checking if there was anything off about how I looked. Mother had helped me picked a dress when she heard that I was going on a date with Jivan.
A periwinkle laced dress that was above the knees. My hair was left in its natural waves, with just a simple daisy flower crown. I wore white flat shoes. It was a simple look and hopefully appropriate for whatever Jivan had planned.
I heard a knock on my balcony door, "Don't tell me he's coming from the balcony again," I shake my head walking towards the door.
As I opened the door, a pixie holding flowers is what greets me, "To Princess Elira, from Prince Jivan," he hands them to me and I smile.
"Thank you," he nodded and flew away, I watch towards the direction he went and looked back at the bouquet of pink carnations.
There was a card between the flowers, I took it out to see handwritten words.
Today is the day of our date,
Please don't be late.
Because I can't wait,
Meet me at the gate.
I giggle at how cute the short poem is, "Carnations huh? Prince Jivan are you saying thank you?" I smile as I placed the carnations in a vase, I placed the card down on my desk.
"Where are you off to?" Chad asks as I go out of my bedroom.
"To meet Jivan! Don't wait for me!" I skip in my steps doing a twirl and then walked towards the staircase, running down.
I was fast walking going out of the castle heading to the gate. Each step I took, I felt like I was being drawn closer to him. I stop in my tracks when I saw his back he was talking to the guard at the gate, the guard then said something, making Jivan look at me.
Happy. That's what I felt as I saw him smile looking at me, he greeted the guard goodbye and walked towards me. We walked towards each other.
"Hello," I said and he smiled.
"Hi," I stared at his azure eyes and they were bright and beautiful.
"You look pretty," he said and I blushed looking away, "Stop that," he said gently turning my face to face him.
"Sorry, I'm just a little nervous," I said playing with my fingers behind my back, looking at him.
"Just think of this as friends catching up?" he said and I nodded, "a friend you're getting married to."
I hit his arm, "Not helping!" he winced, "Oh, does it still hurt, I'm sorry-"
"I'm messing with you," he winked and walked ahead towards the gate.
"I hate you!" I said following him.
"Not for long," he said holding my left hand, "You like butterflies, right?"
"I love them!" I grinned and he smiled.
As we went out the gate, there was a carriage waiting for us outside, "Princess," Jivan opened the door for me and gestured it arm to walk inside.
"Why, thank you," I went in and I heard him chuckle.
"Are we going to Mariposa?" I asked as he got in and he shrugged, "Jivan!"
