I walked into class today feeling happier than I've felt in a long time. I walked passed Alivia ignoring her like I do everyday. Not even her constant begging is gonna bring me down.

"You seem happy today." She slightly smiled

"Yeah, I've had a good couple of days."

"Well, good thing it's Friday, so you don't have to worry about school getting in the way of that." She smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back.

I saw the door open and in walks Ethan with two coffees in his hand. "Hey." I smiled at him.

"I brought your favorite. I had to ask Grayson again because I know nothing you like." He smiled and set the coffee on my desk.

I grabbed his hand and rubbed my thumb over it. "Thanks E." He winked at me and walked out of the classroom, completely ignoring Alivia.

"Is there something between you two?" She laughed as if she didn't believe it.

"We're just friends."

"Okay, well although he is a nice guy, he can be the complete opposite next thing you know. So just watch out."

"I don't need you to tell me what to do with my friendships. You've already ruined things enough." I stood up and walked out of the classroom, finding Ethan in the hallway talking to some guys on the football team.

I waited until they walked away, and went up to him. "Hey, was it the right coffee?" He seemed worried

"Yeah, no the coffee is great. I just want to know if we can skip first period. I can't be in there today."

"What did she say to you?" He gently pulled me to the side and held my hand.

"Nothing really, I just don't want her to act like she's my friend. She's not."

"Then lets go to our spot." He smiled and we started walking away.

"Our spot?" I smiled and looked up at him.

"Yeah, I've only ever brought you there. Not even Grayson."

I couldn't help but smile wider as he led me out of the school and to his car. He opened the door for me to get in then closed the door and got in on his side.

"I'm nervous for the game tonight." He started driving away and I felt the same feeling in my stomach every time we're alone with each other.

"Why?"

"I have someone to try to impress now. Not just my brother." He smiled and looked over at me.

"Damn who is she. Must be pretty sexy." I giggled and watched him smile shaking his head.

"Nah, she's kinda eh."

"Shut up loser." I playfully hit him and he turned the radio on looking at me then back at the road.

We soon neared the parking lot we were at a while ago, and walked to the cliff we always sit at.
