Chapter Eight:

I awoke to a dark room dimly lit with a fireplace going. I was laying on a soft velvet red couch with gold sewing patterns across the seems and bottom. Also, a plush pillow was under my head and a thick quilt was on top of me. I sat up pushing off the blanket, trying to remember where I was and then I remembered and let out a groan.

I decided to examine my surroundings. There was a wooden coffee table in front of the couch I was on with an exact replica of the same couch behind it. It was too dark to tell what else there was but I could see a few picture frames and a book shelf with some sort of writing I couldn't read.

This all felt like a very real dream and I pinched myself just to see if I would wake up at home in my bed. Nothing happened and I let out a big sigh. Tomorrow was going to be interesting.

A wave of exhaustion fell over me and I laid back down, hoping to get answers as soon as I woke up. My eyes closed but my mind stayed awake swarming with questions and many other things.
