Chapter *32*

Have you ever watched Charlie Brown?

Y'all know whenever the grown ups talk they replace it with a womp womp sound?

That's literally all I'm hearing right now. This is my worst class of the day. The teacher is an old white dude that has all stomach and no back. I describe his body as shapes. A lot of different shapes stacked on top of each other to form the huge beige blob that is him.

To make matters worse Tyrie doesn't take this class. I miss my baby but I can't see him for another twenty-five minutes.

How will I live?

I might die of boredom and frustration first. Mr.Pickle had us doing a pop quiz today out of nowhere. So basically we all barely passed, and now he was lecturing us on the reading we were supposed to have read.

Teachers always give us stuff to do knowing we won't do it till the last minute anyway.

"Miss Bunnt. MISS BUNNT ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION?"

"DON'T YELL AT ME!"

Uh oh.

I wish I could whoop myself right now.

I didn't mean to yell or say that. When people do things I don't like and catch me off guard, I go crazy. Kind of losing my mind for a split second.

He looked at me menacingly and put his hands on his hips. I didn't mean to disrespect, but I'm not taking it back. It's out there now. No use in trying to fix it.

"What did you say to me? Who are you yelling at young lady?"

I just sat here blinking at him. Is he not going to write me up or should I expect an early weekend?

We looked at each other, waiting for the other to make the first move. Too bad Mr.Pickle doesn't know me well. I may be introverted, but I can be bold when I'm being petty.

I'll wait.

I leaned back in my desk and crossed my hands across my stomach. I might as well be comfortable while I'm getting a suspension. Shit I'm tired anyway. I could use a nice long break.

The other few people in the class were watching our interaction closely. A fly could die a hundred feet away and we would here it.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity,  we got somewhere. He pale was red in the middle and his ears could be releasing smoke by now.

"Get. Out." He said with clenched teeth.

I gathered my things before standing. I made sure to pull my pants up by the belt loops, and ignored the looks from guys that I don't even talk to or associate with.

I took my time putting my jacket on, fixing my hair, and applying chapstick. When I was done, I nodded at him.

"Gladly."

That was 45 minutes ago. The classes have finally changed.

It was close to the end of the day now. I don't see Tyrie yet, so I'll just walk around the halls. The people were all around in different crowds and groups; everyone had their place. While I'm just here wandering without anybody to talk to.

Out of nowhere I hear my name being called.

"Shunt'A! Wait up!"

I look back confused. A petite Asian girl from my class is running after me. I think she's in my AP class, too. I barely know her or talk to her. We used to speak briefly, but I don't see her very often anymore.
