Chapter nineteen

"Alexis!" I heard as soon as I entered my front door

"Fuck" I groaned to myself knowing that my mom was home for once in her life

"Sweety, the school called. You missed a class?" She said as I took off my vans throwing them on the mat

I looked up to face my mom as she stood in front of me holding a book

She was wearing black leggings and heels with a bright blue flowy blouse, she looked pretty

"You look nice" I stared while giving her a quick almost affectionate kiss on the cheek

I walked past her into the kitchen placing my bag on the counter

"Don't try and change the subject Alexis" she tried to say sternly but I seen her smiling from the side of my eye

"Yeah, me and hunter kinda skipped, that was like two days ago mom" i shruggedujohh

"First of all move that" she said pushing my bag that was on thegggggggggs gg coggunter onto the floor.

"Mommm" I groaned dramatically picking up the bag off the floor

"Hunter hmm?" She said taking a seat on one of the stools smirking. "You should invite him over for dinner, he's a very handsome boy" she cooed

God,

"Mom me and hunter are not really talking at the moment" I said hoping she wouldn't extend on the hunter topic

I know we just got in a fight and worked it out for five seconds and went back to hating eachother in zero point five seconds but isn't that what people do?

Besides he's the one who was being a stubborn dick, all about his pride.

"Alexis, I told you to start acting more feminine around men. You scared hunter away.
I swear I will have to set up an arranged marriage because y-" she said rubbing her temples

"ANYWAYS! I think not, I'm going to my room" I kissed her cheek and left the kitchen with a bit of my dignity.

Now this is the part of the story where I go up to my room and mope about my life, about losing hunter for what's seems like the hundredth time

And all because I don't want to be owned. Isn't that what a relationship is being owned? No Alexis you dumby a relationship is about being equals right?

Oh I am so going to end up alone.

"Hey girl hey!" I hear a loud enthusiastic boom from behind me as I jump and slam my locker shut unintentionally. "Woah there girl! Is just me your one and only" journey beamed from behind me.

"Journey I think i pissed my pants" I groaned holding my books tightly and leaning on the locker.

"You're so melodramatic" she laughed pulling out her phone and taking a picture randomly as I frowned. "God ever since you stopped talking to dick head you're so... gloomy I swear to god I'm going to gut him for his destruction on my bestfriend" she said glaring at her phone and then back up at me.

"Journey no need" I said basically giving up on anything hunter based.

"No, no for serious I'm going to make you forget all about him. Come on when have we done anything spontaneous in awhile?" She gleamed jumping up and down as I mentally slid my back down the lockers

"I don't kno-"

"Come on you have to I feel like I'm losing my Reckless teen mojo and Travis is boring ball he wants to do is play fortnite all night and never give me any attention" she groans

"FINEEE and Like I said before.."

"Dump him.. yeah yeah I know but I just don't want to see him with anyone else it would just break me you know what I mean" she says looking sadly down at her shoes as I wrap my arm around her and make our way down the hall.

Yeah I know what you mean.

And right as I said that not even a few seconds after I see hunter smiling in all his sex glory talking to some of his friends with his arm wrapped around one girl and another perched up right in front of him.

"You know what journey game on let's be reckless" I glare at hunter and pass right by him and his friends with a high confidence knowing he's looking at me.

Back at me

"YESSSS I MISSED MY BESTFRIEND! Shall we call Jason?" Journey said now bouncing her little self down the hallways

"We shall"
