Judgement

This man was once a boy
A stupid, selfish, stubborn child
Who thought to impress the world
He didnt care if He lied
And so it happened that you became his world
To impress He lied not knowing of the damage He could cause

But I now stand on trial for a crime I did not commit
Yet im willing to take the sentence you've given me
Tell you im sorry a thousand times
All because the evidence weighs against me
So i'll plead guilty
Though I wont believe it
A man who asks for belief in his other half is no proud man
He should not need to ask
Though you should always believe his actions

So before your jury
I plead guilty
I plead dirty
I plead for your forgiveness
Im taking the sentence you've given just to prove my worth
Though you no longer see it
So whats the point
You've denied my faith to you

Now rather that was our eulogy
A speech for the untimely demise of love
I'd feel theres too many flyleafs
Too many blank pages left to be filled
That wont ever have your name on them
It's not a life im willing to live
So I don't just need you
Say you need me to

Sorry only covers the cuts and scrapes I shouldnt of ever let them get there

And I
I'll beg you
You wont believe me
Can you believe anything?
Let gasoline baptise my body
And replace me with a matchstick

So yet again i'll stand before your judgement
And i'll ask for redemption
For a crime falsely accused
There's no trust left
So is there anything left to tear down
Will you Help me build a new world?
One Where the past doesn't exist
Because theres nothing Good about it
Just broken heart Strings
And lies that thread through my soul,
I know you don't know what im capable of, but if you give me just one More minute to show:

You my regret from a lack of honesty

That I love you right down To your soul

Something to believe in once More
