A New Nest

We've fashioned our own love nest
Out of view from societies norm
A brand new home
A place to sleep without troubles
Somewhere to lay your heart
Out of view from all your dark
Our own makeshift love nest

But,
I'm caught between the now and then, Yet again
Chained to my dreams
Growing up to slow
And all too fast
Enough to lose grasp
I'm dragged beneath the undertow
Where my breath meets it's last
Where the fish gather for mass
Dreaming of that always greener grass

It's all In my head
I've got your arms around me,
But something isn't there
Our nest isn't quite finished
Our second needs it's third
Something so we can collectively care
A bigger nest for a baby bird

One more mouth to feed
Two more feet to lead
Three hearts for our family
