Nothing Sure is Something

Jamie's P.O.V.

I kind of feel bad just looking around. But if I were to help I would cause so much more damage!

I'm a pretty smart person, but book smart. Not very street smart.

And if something isn't in my forte, then I will probably screw it up.

"I think I got it." He says.

"Oh really? Already? What was wrong with it?"

He says a bunch of stuff but I did not understand a single thing of. I just nod my head.

"Were you listening?" He says. He sounds slightly annoyed, I don't know if because of me, his motorcycle, or both.

"Sorry. My mind's somewhere else." His face and tone immediately soften.

Uh oh, lord, spare me the pity.

"I'm sorry." He says.

Whoop! There it is!

"It's not your fault." I pause, "Why are we at your house anyway?" I say trying to change the subject.

"Oh. Right. I thought you could stay in the treehouse, if you wanted. Cuz that'd probably be the best place for you. If you don't want to go home. I would offer you a bedroom inside, but my mom and your mom are really close and she'd probably tell her. And if you're trying to do like this mysterious hiding thing that'd probably kill your vibe. And don't worry I won't tell anyone you're here. And I'll bring you food tomorrow morning or tonight if you're hungry. And I'll bring some more blankets and pillows, there should be some in there, but I'll bring some more cuz it might get chilly. And I could probably get you some clothes from my moms room before she comes home. And-"

"Thank you. It's perfect." I say cutting him off.

Dang, he can talk extremely fast.

Was he nervously mumbling because of this situation or because of me??

I hope because of me..

But wow. He really thought this all through.

"Wow." I mumble.

"What's wrong?" He says rushed.

"Nothing. It's just thank you."

"No, it's nothing."

Nothing sure is something.

Anybody catch my Pitch Perfect reference? :p
