(I apologize, this was supposed to be the first day chapter but I'm using this as a filler, because I honestly think this chapter is needed to go on lol, but I'll update the first day chapter soon to make it up to y'all! :))

Jamie's P.O.V.

First day of school at Sunshine Academy- where the brightest students shine. Literally the cheesiest thing in the world.

My parents only allowed me to go here once I had 'the talk' with them.

No,no,no,no,no! Not the birds and the bees, I already got that one a long time ago- and remember I didn't know my mom- so it was only me and my dad.. How fun!!

'The talk' as in the talk I'd been avoiding for twenty-seven days until they approached me. Those cunning artists had told me they were going to talk to me about my new school only. Buttnuggets.

They told me the only way I could go to a new school was if I told them what was going on in my mind. I would rather not discuss how the night started, because to put it in simple words, all hell was unleashed.

But anyways, after the talk I felt surprisingly refreshed. I had learned that my mom had moved here not because she wanted a better doctor for her treatment but because she learned that Mrs. Granth was looking for employment as a personal assistant. So she moved here and then hired her. She then told Mrs. Granth to introduce her to her daughter and she did, unaware of anything going on. Mrs. Granth would always leave for errands mom would assign her, so it'd only be Eva and my mom.

Yes, I have also accepted that Evangelina is my sister. Others may call her Angelina, I will stick with Eva.

Then during those only Eva and mom things, my mom slowly told her everything. I was offended, very offended that I was second in line to be told. But time heals all.

I also learned, and pitied, that Mrs. Granth was still, to that day at the hospital, unaware of anything. She had not recognized my mom or my dad for the adoption day. Odd right? Wrong. Mrs. Granth's husband had gone alone to adopt Evangelina. But currently he is in the military, serving. May god protect him.

So Len Granth must recognize my parents.

But my dad also told us that he had been keeping tabs on Lydia. Why Eva's mom and not Eva herself, I am not sure. But he had basically stalked her, and was upset when he found out she was a good person. He was upset not because Eva found a good home but because he was scared Eva wouldn't come back.

Surprisingly my dad had not seen a picture of Eva. So he had not recognized her. Weird.

They have the same eyes though. And when my mom doesn't have her oxygen mask on, I do look unbelievably similar to her!

Well, some may ask, why the sudden maturity? This is such a heavy topic, burden, etc.

Not maturity, more realization. Life keeps going on, I can either move on or hold on to grudges and get run over.

I personally think it's a no-brainer.

But no, my relationship with my parents isn't 'picture perfect smile for the camera', it's more of a healing process.

Anger only makes enemies.

Hah, I feel like a preacher.

But no, sometimes you just have to forgive. Not forgive and forget in my case because I don't think I could ever forget I have a sister (not that I'd ever want to) but more forgive and live.

You need to forgive in order to live.

When did I ever become so wise?

True true. When did she become so wise? Lol :p

I truly apologize about telling y'all I'd make this the first day (it actually did start out that way!) but then I realized that I couldn't just jump right in, y'all needed to know what happened with all the family drama.

And remember, it's been a month. Time can heal everything! Lol

Hope y'all enjoyed this even though it wasn't the first day!

Vote, comment, love! :)
