Jane's POV

"So how does it feel having a long distance relationship with him?" Ally - a friend of mine - asked.

We are at the cafeteria right now and I'm stalking Frank, my ex-boyfriend. No one knew that we broke up a week ago. I love him with all of my heart but loving goes together with trust and maturity and I think I don't have that. I don't trust him enough. I am not mature enough.

"It's okay." I replied. She looked at me with confusion.

"Are you okay?" She asked with a worried looked. I smiled bitterly then take a sip on my coffee.

"I'm just tired." Tired of everything that hurts me. Tired of being forgotten. Tired of being replaced. Tired of being just a second choice. I am not a total Saint nor a human robot. I also get hurt too. And the sad thing is, nobody cares. Even him.

"Oh yeah! I've noticed that your eye bags are getting bigger. You should take a rest. Okay? I'm getting worried." She said and patted my shoulder. I just shook my head and slightly laughed.

We walked through the crowded corridor towards our room. My next class is English and there is a rumor that we will have a new classmates. I don't really care about it though. They won't be my friends anyway.

"Okay class, let us all welcome our transferees from the States." Our prof said as the door swung open and showed us two guys. One is masculine and the other one is lean. . .and I knew him.

"Hi! I'm Edward Lai. I'm a pure Taiwanese. Let's all be friends." He said and wink. A total asshole stuff.

The other guy wandered around the room first before landing his eyes on mine. He then smiled widely. "I'm Franklin Piquero and a half Japanese - half Filipino." He said.

"Okay. Take your seats misters." The prof said and started her discussion. The two boys walked different ways and I wasn't expecting Frank to seat in the empty chair beside me.

"Sorry but that chair is already taken." I spoked without even stuttering. He raised both of his eyebrows. "It's taken by me. And only me." He said and imphasized the word 'me'.

I don't know why I don't feel anything as of the moment. I just felt numb. Nothing more and nothing less. It seems like his effect on me slowly fades and that is a good news.

Why is he here anyway? He just transferred months ago and he is here again. Is he just wasting money that is not even his?

"That's Ally's chair, Mister. Please at least give some respect to yourself. Know the things that belongs to you." I said in a total anger. We just broke up and I totally forgot who he was. He changed. And it's not for the better.

"You belong to me." He said with a straight face.

"Huh! I don't belong to anyone." I said. Most of our seat mates are glancing at us. I couldn't care less. This man in front of me is hitting on my nerves.

After classes, I directly went out of the classroom until someone hold my arm. I looked over my shoulder to see who it is and it is the other transferee.

"Hi!" He awkwardly said and then let go of my arm. I then smiled at him and continued walking. I don't want to be rude but I'm just really annoyed.

"Hey! I just want to be your friend." He said. I faced him. "Okay. Then I have a favor to ask." I said. He smiled brightly and then nodded.

"Please leave me alone." I said and turned my back on him.

As the days passed, Frank and I didn't talk. Well, except for debates in English class. On the other hand, Edward keeps on following me at school and said that he likes me. That is totally annoying.

Sometimes, he orders me food from outside the school because it is healthier. He saved me from bullies in lower section. He keeps on giving me powerpoint of our lessons incase I didn't understand it. I admit that it is annoying at first but it didn't last long. I find it really friendly most of the times.

I walked towards the locker room. It is already quarter to six but I need to go back to get my calculus book.

"I missed you." Someone said from behind that startled me. I turned around and saw Frank.

"I miss you Jane. My Jane Iwamoto." He said as he slowly walked towards me. As he step closer, I stepped backwards.

"I'm not yours anymore." I said. I can still remember the time when it's our first day as a couple. He bought me lots of food and we went to his apartment to watch netflix all day. That's like the sweetest thing that he have done to me. All the simple dates and simple gestures are still on my mind. But I'm not his anymore. And he is not mine.

"Jane, why can't you trust me? At least for once, trust me." He pleaded. I shook my head and turned my back on him. I'm here to get my book. Not to talk to him.

"Jane! Running away again? Huh!? Why are you always like that? As far as I know, you are not a runner." He said. I walked as fast as I can but I know that he'll still catch up.

"I love you, Jane. It's only you." He said. I stopped on my tracks. I'm about to face him when he grabbed my arms and faced me to him.

"I'm sorry but your love is not enough." I said. He looked annoyed and planted a kiss on my lips in one swift move. I didn't expect that.

"I love you, babe."
