Her father clears his throat and looks at me again.

"Sorry about that Minamino I just want to try it at least once."

(I'm so confused.)

"Relax, Mina dad is just joking when he asked that question to you, though he took it a bit too far." Said Tegemi glared at him.

He looks at her wife and she receives that same look from her.

"But, he gave a superb answer, didn't he?" he said in his defense.

(Oh and here I thought his a scary person, his just like Tegemi after all kindhearted and playful)

"Mina, can I ask you more questions?"

"Ask away sir."

"We're do you want to take Tegemi in your honeymoon?"

"I'd like to take her in Hawaii." I answered instinctively.

"Dad!"

"What? He answered it right?"

Then Tegemi's laughter echoes through the frozen room.

(Did I say something stupid?)

Her mother giggles too.

"I see why Tegemi likes you, you're honest.

"Yes, he's kind and reliable too." Tegemi added.

"Ah, is he really?"

The female army was gathering in force.

(Wha...What's going on?)

But, when I look at her father.

I realize her expression change he looks friendlier now and calm.

Tegemi's foster father lets out a little sigh, and turns to Tegemi.

"Tegemi, I have something I want to ask you."

"Yes, dad, why so formal?"

"Do you intend to marry him?"

Tegemi greets her father's question with a surprised expression.

"Yes..."

"Yes, I've thought about marrying Mina, if he had the guts to propose to me at all."

(Even though this is all just to convince his parents that she's s dating, hearing her say that is like challenging me to actually propose to her.)

Her father takes a quick glance at me, sitting there shaken. Then returns his gaze to Tegemi.

"What will you do with the boarding – house after you're married?"

"Of course I intend to continue to live there."

When she says that, her father smiles from ear to ear.

"Tegemi, why did you made that house a boarding house?"

(hey, I wanted to know as well..)

"I bought that house for you to live in, for you and your own family to live in."

Why did she decided to turn her house into a boarding house...

(I've asked her that once too...)

(she dodged that question though...)

I wonder if I'll hear the reason now.

Tegemi looks a little lost, and turns her eyes away.

Finally she looks directly at her father...

"I lost my family when I was young."

"But you taught me again how warm a family can be,"

"Even though we don't share the same blood, you adopted me and we become a family."

"I want to do the same for others with similar pasts."

I lean back unintentionally.

"Tegemi...but..."

"Yes, that's why I made my house into a boarding house."

(So that's the reason...)

I think how we've become a family, in that house, filled with memories from Tegemi's childhood.

And my heart grows warm.

Then...

"I understand..."

"I don't mind if you continue with the boarding-house."

Mr.Mikahara smiles for the first time today.

"Dad."

"However...."

His face quickly turns to its former gloom.

"I can't approve of your association with Mina,"

"Huh?!" uttered Tegemi in surprise

(Crap did he find out, did we blow this up?!)

Her expression changes, at a single work from her father.

"What? What do you mean you don't approve? Why not?"

"How can I approve something that's not even real."

"What?"

(WHAT?! He knew?!)

"Mina's a good man, Tegemi but the man I want to introduce you to is much more level-headed with a much more stable future, no disrespect Mina."

"I understand sir."

"Bu...But, Dad!"

That moment...

"Sir' If I may?"

"Excuse me, Tegemi may i?"

"Ah? Mina?"

I look directly at Mr.Mikahara.

"I admit that you may be right since you may know the guy you're arranging marriage your daughter with."

"But..."

"But what?"

I say trying not to lose to Mr.Mikaharas gaze.

"But if you give me a chance to prove myself worthy of Tegemi's love."

"Whatever happens..."

"I'll always be there for your daughter!"

"I'll never do anything to make Tegemi unhappy!"

"Mina?!"

I'm in a daze.

When he implied I'm not suitable for Tegemi, something triggered me.

I felt like it lit a fire somewhere inside me,

"What are you saying?" asked Mr.Mikahara

Maybe I'm not doing this as her pretend boyfriend.

"I really...Love Tegemi!"
