Chapter 19 - Casual Days.

Several days after my first date with Tegemi.

She comes in while I'm sitting on the carpet working in the living room, reviewing the financial report Raika gave me.

"Ah, Mina, don't you have class today?"

"No, Tegemi, do you have days off too?"

"Yes, Do you mind if I sit next to you?"

"Not at all."

She sat on the coach behind me.

She leans close to me taking a peak of what I'm doing.

Since that date, I've felt Tegemi has gotten a little closer to me.

(But how does Tegemi feel towards me? Am I really fatherzoned?)

"Hey, Mina?"

(I'd like her to go on a date with me again soon...but works been hectic and I can't really leave work undone in the Famille' now can i.)

"Mina?"

(Does she ever remember what I said, when I pretended to be her boyfriend for a day?)

"Mina!"

"Whoa! Yes?"

"I was trying to talk to you!" she pouted.

"I'm sorry...is there something you need?"

"I thought I might make some tea, and wondering if you want some."

"Ah...Yes please."

"Ok, just a moment." She said in a happy tone, and heads to the kitchen.

(I still have no idea how she feels about me...)

(But for now, just spending time with her is enough...)

Just then...

I look at her in the kitchen and start to worry.

(Is she gonna be alright? She knows how to boil water right?)

"Ah, Tegemi, umm let me help you with that." I said while looking at Tegemi trying to open the stove while the electric thermos is on the burner.

"Don't worry I can manage."

(No, you can't that's not how you boil water using an electric thermos though.)

I took the thermos out of the burner and plugged it in one of the kitchen outlet.

"Oh, so that's how you use that..." she awed.

(Yeah, no kidding...)

Tegemi carries a teapot and teacups on a tray.

She places a teacup in front of me, filled with the sweet fragrance of green tea.

(It smells great. But that's just the smell...) I thought to myself while looking at the floating tea bag that's still in its plastic package.

"Well, go ahead?"

(Just how bad is she in the kitchen...)

(I'm not sure...But she went to the effort to make this for me...effort...)

"Ok, here goes..."

(Yup taste like plastic...)

"How is it?"

"It's...Delectable..."

She looks at me with narrowed eyes doubting the taste of her own tea.

"Hey, Mina."

"Yes?"

"Did you think I couldn't make tea?"

(Well obviously.)

"Is that a trick question?"

"Do you want another week of taking the trash out?"

"Just throw yourself out already, you trash." Said Yomiko who suddenly barged in our conversation as she took something out of the fridge and head back to the living room.

"No i..."( where did she come from?)

"Hey, I can at least make tea."

"I believe you, but you could at least take it out of the package first." I said

When she heard this she looked at my cup, in it a floating plastic tea fresh in its package.

"Ehehehehe..." she giggled awkwardly.

"Aahahaha..." I fallow through

"Jeez..." she curled down on a ball sitting down covering her face in embarrassment.

(She's so cute when she's like this.)

"Jeez, Mina the least you could do is tell me, you idiot!"

(How am I the idiot?)

"I did."

"But you already drink it, hot water flavored plastic."

"And I'm so proud of myself even..." she said embarrassingly.

Holding my laughter out, she looks at me narrowed brow pouting.

"Don't you dare laugh!" she said while blushing.

"I won't." I said.

Then I burst out laughing.

"I know I'm not very good at cooking."

Tegemi lowers her head in embarrassment

"But...I'll get better at it you'll see!"

"Ohh, can't wait."

"Stop teasing me, jeez..."

"I'm not planning on living alone forever..."

I look at her in surprise.

She's blushing slightly, and looks embarrassed as she says this.

Our eyes met.

(Does she already have someone!?)
