Pipers pov:

I was in the back of our car. Maya and Ace were in the back along with Michael while I was in the front next to the driver

The drive was 4 hours and I slept through all of it. We had 15 minutes left. The woods here were...morbid

They just held so much sadness and pain

We pulled up to a very big black gate, guards there opened it. As we drove in I saw a neighborhood full of pack members. They seemed happy. Very cliche. Mothers outside taking care of their pups. To the right I saw the men training. There was a lot of men here training and fighting

Something smelt odd but I ignored it

We pulled up to a big house. We got out happily. There was a red haired girl there. Michael seemed quite fond of her

We walked up proudly with Maya and Ace hand in hand. Michael was upfront with the red haired girl that was escorting us to the meeting

We got inside a room. There was a long table and about 10 chairs

I noticed a tall man and a slightly shorter man who were standing in the far corner with their hands folded

Stephan had dark brown hair and green eyes. He was attractive and had a stubble. He seemed like a very strict man along with his alpha who had a few scars on his face. He had slightly long black hair and brown eyes. They were very cold. I gave them a few glances before sitting down

Marcus glared at his daughter. I could see Ace protectively holding her hand. I smiled at that before looking over at Marcus

"Welcome to our pack. Now time to get down to business" he stated, standing up to show power

"I do not see why you ask for peace. We both have different views on how Pack members are treated." Marcus stated
"But shouldn't all pack members be treated equally no matter gender or sexuality?" I questioned
"For as long as our history werewolves have been living in a society where man and women couples were normal. Gender did matter. Women are the house wives while men are the warriors. Males feel the need to protect the girls, simple as that. Rules should not be changed." Stephan said, tapping his pen on the glass mug in front of him
"But they should. The humans are slowly adapting and now girls and lgbtq+ members have more rights! Hell your daughter can be a Luna! You won't except her because the goddess paired her up with a female?" Ace said, her eyes darkening with rage
"My daughter is none of your concern" I heard a growl and looked at Ace who had fire coming out of her hands. I stared at her along with everyone else in shock. She growled. Her eyes fire red glaring at Marcus
"My mate is my concern!" She growled loudly slamming her fists on the table. Maya grabbed her and pulled her pack into her sitting position. She stroked her arm to soothe her

"The fuck! You come to our territory threatening us with this witchery!?" Stephan screamed
"It was unintentional and it's not witchery! Listen, we just want to talk!" I paused looking back at my sister to see she was calmer. I saw Michael who clearly was hypnotized by the red head next to him. "We want to avoid war! Lives will be lost, mates will be lost, your pack members lives will be lost because of a stupid disagreement on simple rights!" I growled out

I huffed and glared at them before starring down at my hands

This is why we're at war

"Listen, Mar-" I was cut off when a man walked into the room. A wonderful smell hit my nose and I made sure not to purr but soon the smell was gone. His eyes, one blue and one brown made eye contact with me quickly before looking away

"Nice of you to show up. You've missed all the fun with Maya and her mate. Not to mention the other so called alpha" Marcus said with a smile
"Late as always" Maya huffed under her breath. He looked at her with disgust before briefly looking at me once more
"Marcus I'm sorry, but who is this?" I questioned. I gave him a look over. Tall, muscular, handsome. He has black hair, and is built very muscular-like
"This is the future alpha, my son, Keenan. I expect you show him the same respect as I receive" he said offering his son a seat

He looked at me and growled slightly. I didn't acknowledge it. Was this the man in my dreams?

Out of know where a smell hit my nose. I jerked up and smelt the air unnoticeably to hope to find where the smell was coming from

I felt the color drain from my face as I stared at the man in-front of me. The sly smirk on that beautiful body had me angry and scared

I tried to hold back my wolf as long as I could...

"Mate!!" Jacota, my wolf yipped in my head
