Hold Me Closer

Part 14

The next morning the sunlight wakes me up, I blink to adapt to the light, I smile when I turn a bit in Matt's arms to see him still asleep. I bite my lip as I try to get out of his arms to go to the washroom, "noooo stay" I hear him say sleepily as he tightens his grip on me, "babe I need to pee" I say as I watch him open his blue eyes, I bring a hand up and brush his hair back with my fingers, he closes his eyes and groans, "I love when you do that" he tells me, "and I love you" I say before slipping away from his arms as I step into his washroom. Once I finish in the washroom I step back into the bedroom, Matt is still lying in bed so I gently climb on again and I crawl over my sleepy boyfriend, he must feel my movement so he rotates his body so that i'm straddling his waist. I lower myself onto him as I look down at him with a smile, Matt places his hands on my waist, gently rubbing circles in the spot, "you are so beautiful Jenny" he tells me, I blush, "you aren't so bad yourself Mr. Caplan" I reply as I run my fingers across his chest, "we should get up before I keep you to myself for the day" he exclaims, "I think you are onto something" I say, I lean over and press a gentle kiss to his lips before getting off of him to go get changed into something more than a t-shirt. 

Later when we are dressed we have breakfast with Matt's family before he tugs me out the door and to his mom's car, "where are we going?" I ask as he gets into the drivers side, "it's a surprise" he replies with a smile. As he drives I watch the new surroundings pass by with a smile on my face, "you are so beautiful" Matt says, I look over at him and blush, "thanks" I reply as I fidget with my fingers, he laughs as he takes my hand in his before intertwining our fingers, he run his thumb over knuckles gently as we continue down the road. A few minutes later Matt parks the car, I look around trying to figure out our location. "You'll love it, don't worry" Matt tells me as he watches me, "I can't wait" I reply with a smile as I hop out of the car. My eyes light up when I see that we are at a movie theatre, "what are we seeing?" I ask Matt as he comes up next to me to take my hand, "your favourite movie" he replies, "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" I exclaim with excitement, he nods while pulling me close to his side, "I love you" I tell him before pressing a kiss to his cheek, "I love you too Jenny" he replies before pressing a kiss to my forehead before we continue walking to the entrance of the theatre.

"That movie is amazing every single time" I say as we walk out of the theatre with all of the other Harry Potter fans, "It is definitely a great movie, but i'm just happy that you're happy" Matt explains while throwing an arm across my shoulders. When we get back into the car I turn to my boyfriend, "now where?" I ask, "I figured that we would be hungry after that so i'm going to take you to one of my favourite places" he replies with a smile. Matt parks the car and we step out before walking a block to a place that looks like a wood cabin (below), "I am definitely not mad about this" I say as we walk into the place.

"You know me so well" I tell Matt as our food is placed on the table, "I would hope so" he replies with a smile as I dig into the pancakes in front of me. I clean off my plate in 5 minutes flat, I hear a deep laugh making me look up, Matt is smiling at me, "what?" I ask curiously, "I love that you don't hold back with me" he replies before placing a hand on mine, I blush, "I have a lovely relationship with food" I explain sheepishly, "i'm totally okay with that Jen" he says. A few minutes later when we have payed for the meal we leave the adorable building hand-in-hand, "thanks for today" I tell my boyfriend as we walk back to the car, "anything for my gorgeous girlfriend" he replies before kissing my head. When we get into the car I turn to Matt with a smile, "can we go downtown, I've never seen the Rideau Canal" I ask, "I will gladly take you there" he replies before we both buckle up and he starts the car driving away from Flapjack's.

I tug Matt's hand as we walk on the sidewalk that goes along the Canal, "it's so beautiful" I say as I skip along the pavement happily, he laughs but keeps his hand intertwined with mine. Suddenly Matt pulls me to a stop, I turn towards him but before I can talk he pulls me close and cradles my face and proceeds to press a kiss to my lips, I relax into him placing my hands on his waist. He pulls away from me and I try to catch my breath, "what was that?" I ask him surprised, "what I can't spontaneously kiss my girlfriend" he replies, "of course you can, I was just surprised is all" I explain with a smile, "I had a moment of loving you and your excitement about my hometown" he tells me, "I'm so happy that you brought me here, It means so much to me that you wanted to share your city with me" I exclaim while placing a hand on his cheek, he leans into my hand and I swipe a finger across his cheek, "you are the best thing that has happened to me" Matt tells me, "you might not be saying that when you get drafted into the NHL" I say with a smile, "that's just a job, you are forever" he explains, I gasp at his statement while tearing up, "really?" I ask, "yes, 100%" he replies before pressing a quick kiss to my lips. We spend a few more hours walking around downtown before going back to Matt's parents house and spending the evening watching movie while snuggled up in his bed.
