The next day he woke up, in a much better mood than yesterday, but as soon as he remembered about the events, he started feeling down.
He just shook the thoughts off and went downstairs to get breakfast without brushing his teeth. He noticed his sister in the kitchen, she was making breakfast.
Their parents are rarely ever at home, they usually are busy with work or busy in fooling around in parties.
He awkwardly walked towards the table and took a seat silently. With his fingers enterwined, he nervously looked at his sister. What will her reaction be?
Mei turned around with a pan in her hand, her facial expression was straight, she just glared at him while she served him the breakfast. Taehyung was scared to look at her, as if he could feel the dangerous aura in the air. He cleared his throat and mumbled, "Thank You." And began eating his eggs and bread.
Mei pulled a chair and sat infront of him, staring at him, it made him feel very uncomfortable. He gulped his fear and put the fork down in his plates and looked up.
"Ho-How is Minna?" He asks
"Why do you care? You didn't care when you broke her heart." Mei groaned angrily.
Okay.. she's more than angry.. but why does it matter to her so much?! Isn't this supposed to be my personal lovelife?
"I'm sorry but why are YOU so angry?!" He raised his eyebrows.
Mei immediately turned speechless, she blinked her eyes and seemed thoughful for a second, "Uhh.." As if she was deciding whether to say somthing, "Umm.. I promised to bring you both closer."
"Promised to whom?"
Is it Hoseok?
"To Minna.. she loved you so much, she would tell me how she fell for you the first time she saw you in class, and how she would think about talking to you but never got the courage. It's kinda like Me and Hoseok so i relate, I wanted to try my best to bring you both closer, but just like Hoseok, you ignore her, like he ignores me.." Mei's expressions were mixed, she suddely started smiling, "like he used to ignore me..." A sweet grin took over her mouth.
He 'used to' ignore her? What exactly did happen between them in the park?!
"Mei.. I never had feelings for her. Yet I accepted her because I didn't know what was right or wrong at that moment.. I thought it was the right choice. Maybe you both are walking the same path me and Minna recently walked on." Taehyung spitted out his words without thinking twice, he wasn't sure if his words were out of jealousy, he kind of didn't want Mei to date Hoseok.
"Nah.." Mei dismissed him and blushed a little, "I know Hoseok doesn't dislike me now."
Taehyung didn't want to sit there another second. He stood up and left the kitchen, hurriedly. He could feel irritation building up in his insides, What is she talking about?! He went to his room and locked the door behind.
He was more than curious to know what happened between them, the curiosity felt like a weight in his chest. Did they kiss? He imagined the scene and started pinching himself. No way. No way. That did not happen. What if it did? Why do I care.. just.. I hope it did not happen.
He tried to distract himself with anything and everything he could find, but it somewhat kept bothering him.
He suddenly heard a ping in his phone. It was Mei. She sent a picture message.
