Hadley's POV

»Wolverhampton, England —> Liverpool, England«

It's a two hour drive from Wolverhampton to Liverpool, but with Pete Dunne in the back seat with me it seemed like it was going to last an eternity. We were sat out front of Trent's house, waiting for him to come outside. He was packing the last of his things last I knew and it only should have taken five minutes but it's been at least fifteen. And not an enjoyable fifteen minutes either. Pete sat to the left of me, looking at his phone with a bored expression and Tyler sat in the passenger seat acting as if he didn't feel the slight tension in the back of the car.

"Oi Trents taking forever, go see what's up with him." Pete said, hitting Tyler's shoulder.

"And leave you two to kill one another? Not a chance mate."

"Fine. I'll go see what he's up to." He said a bit irritated. He opened his door and marched his way inside the house.

"There isn't as much tension as I thought there'd be."

"We have haven't even started driving yet Ty." I rolled my eyes. Pete soon came back out and got in the backseat again.

"He said he needed your help mate." Pete said to Tyler.

"Great." Tyler said sarcastically before getting out of the car and walking inside.

"It's annoying he had to leave and now I'm stuck alone with you." I said glancing at Pete in disgust.

"I'm not too thrilled about it either." He glared at me. "I'm sure Trent only called Tyler in because they want us to talk and be friends and shit like that."

"Probably."

"I'm reluctantly calling truce if you will too."

"Fine. Truce. Until I leave."

"Deal." He said holding out his hand. I shook his hand before we saw Tyler and Trent walking to the car. "And for the record. I don't hate you." Pete said.

"Nice to know." I said looking at my phone.

"It'd be nice of you to say it back."

"It would, wouldn't it." I stated as Tyler and Trent opened their car doors and got in.

Pete: Can we talk in private once we stop somewhere?

Me: and why would I want to do that?

Pete: to be a decent fucking human being.

Me: Apparently you don't know me too well Peter.

The texts stopped and I looked over to see him glaring at me.

"Bloody bi-."

"Woah hey!" Trent said. "What's going on back there?"

I rolled my eyes at Pete.

"Go on, you rat, tell them."

"I asked this riff-raff a question and she won't even fucking answer."

I rolled my eyes at him again.

"Fine, ask me again. Aloud this time."

"Why would I want to do that?"

"That was the question?" Tyler quickly asked right after.

"No you-!" I said, getting irritated. "He asked me if we could talk in private once we stopped off somewhere."

Both Tyler and Trent looked at Pete in disbelief. Pete had never wanted to talk to me in private, let alone talk to me at all.

"She's joking right?"

"No mate, I did want to talk to her but now that she's being a complete tosser, I don't want to now."

"Oh I'm the tosser?" I asked.

"Yes!" Pete exclaimed.

"What did you want to say?" Trent asked.

"I wanted to say sorry for being a knob head all these years, but if she's going to be one and not even let me apologize, then forget it." He said. "You guys wanted us to be friends but this American twit won't even let me apologize for being an ass." He explained before opening the car door and getting out. "I'll meet you guys at the show. Right now I need to blow off some steam. See you later." He said before closing his door and walking back inside, using his key to unlock the door.

"Well. New record, we didn't even leave the drive way."

"Not funny Tyler." I said before getting out of the car and to the door. I grabbed the door knob and tried to turn it but found that Pete had locked the door behind him.

"What a drama queen." I said before walking back to the car and to Trent's door. He looked at me through the open window. "Give me your damn key." I said holding out my hand.

"What're you going to do?"

"Just give me the damn key!" I said raising my voice slightly.

He placed the key in my hand and I went to unlock the door. Once I did I walked inside to find Pete sitting on the couch staring at the black screen of the TV.

"What do you want?" He asked not even looking at me.

"A real truce."

He looked at me unsure.

"You tried not to be a knob head so..." I trailed off before extending my hand to him. "I guess I'll try too."

"Why would I want to do that?" He asked mocking me.

"To be a decent fucking human being." I mocked him back.

He chuckled before standing up and shaking my hand.

"Fine. Truce." He said. "I'm not going to admit I need you but, I'm happy it won't be just Tyler, Trent and I going ice skating. Those two knobs couldn't teach me to skate if their lives depended on it." He smiled.

"I can teach you. I mean I'm not great but I'm not as bad as Tyler or Trent."

He said nothing and instead smiled. Trent and Tyler soon walked in to see us smiling at one another to their surprise.

"What did we miss?"

"We called a truce." Pete and I said.

"About time, I've been trying to get you guys to call a truce for years."

"Calm down mates, it's just a truce until she leaves." Pete said quickly.

"And he doesn't want to say it." I said glancing at Pete. "But he needs me."

"Oh shut up." Pete smiled slightly.
