Eureka's POV

"HOT SEAT" IS the perfect definition for my current situation.

The four club members stood before me, letting their shadows cast over my average existence.

Nanatili akong nakaupo sa sofa. Ramdam ko ang tensyon sa loob ng clubroom. Plus, their dagger-like stares keep stabbing my ego.

"How are we going to test her?" whispered by Genesis.

Suzy just shrugged her shoulders. "Dunno. Can't we just accept her freely?"

"No can do," answered Neil. "We must test her level. We can't just let a nitwit outsider be part of our club!"

Nitwit? Harsh.

"She doesn't look like one!" defended by Suzy. "She is more like a... nerdy... I think?"

Wow. Nerdy? Can't they stop insulting me?

"Not all nerd's a genius, Suz," said by the unknown guy, crossing his arms against his chest.

Napairap na lang si Suzy. "Yeah right?"

"Hey, newbie!"

Halos mapatalon ako sa'king kinauupuan nang marinig ko ang boses ni Genesis. Nabaling ang kanilang mga mata sa'kin. Muli akong nakaramdam ng kaba.

"Y-Yes?"

"What can you do?" asked Neil.

Napakunot-noo ako sa sinabi niya. "What do you mean, what can I do?"

"Sweetie, meron ka bang... Uh... Special talent or something like that?" malambing na wika ni Suzy habang matamis na nakangiti.

Special talent?

"Like... Breathing fire or walking on a rope?" takha kong naitanong.

Nagkatinginan naman silang apat. Mababakas ang "unsatisfied" reaction sa mga mukha nila.

"Uh... A more intellect-based skill, rather," dagdag ni Suzy nang muli siyang bumaling sa'kin. "Don't you have anything... unique?"

Unique?

Napaisip ako sa sinabi niya.

"Does that "unique" is the same as being weird?" prangka kong naitanong.

Nagdalawang isip pa muna si Suzy bago muling sumagot, "Uh... Yeah? If that's what you think it is. Then, yes."

What?

I don't get it. Bakit nila ako hinahanapan ng uniqueness... ng weird potential? Do they also suffer from an odd disease as I do? Does JD means "Juniors Disease" club? Or is it something else?

Napakagat ako sa'king labi at bahagyang napayuko.

This is absurd.

"Eureka?" muling sambit ni Suzy sa pangalan ko.

Tiningala ko sila at nanatiling nakatutok ang apat na pares ng kanilang mga mata sa akin.

I sighed.

"I... I do have a weird ability," sagot ko.

By that instance, all their faces lit up.

"Really? You do?!" medyo gulat na tanong ni Neil.

Inosente akong tumango.

"I told 'ya!" exclaimed by Suzy with joy. "Hindi siya mabibigyan ng card kung wala siyang potential para sa club natin!"
