Eureka's POV

FROWNING, I WATCH Suzy climbing upstairs.

"Where are we going?" I asked, tailing her behind.

Suzy made a pause before leaning back over her shoulder.

"To the rooftop," she answered. "Doon kasi ang tambayan ng club-mates kapag recess."

"Huh?" I frowned. "Shouldn't you be in the canteen, feeding your tummies?"

"Nah." Suzy continues to step upstairs, shrugging her shoulders. "Canteens are for common students. We're not used to be in the same page with those people. Isa pa, maingay doon. Sa rooftop, tahimik."

Patuloy sa pag-akyat ng hagdan si Suzy. Sumunod na lamang ako sa kaniya.

"But--" I urged to protest. Yet, it was too late.

A moment after, we finally reached the rooftop's entrance. Suzy pushed the door open, before striding her way out.

"He'ya, guys!" pagbati niya.

As I made my way next to Suzy's, nadatanan ko ang tatlong binatang kasama sa JD club.

Genesis, he's sitting on the floor, playing a with his cards. Neil, he's currently facing his laptop while sitting next to Genesis. And Ele... Well... Suzy was right, Ele is a one heck of a lazy goofball. He's lying down the cold floor, hands under his head like a pillow, deeply snoring into slumber.

"Wazzup?" Genesis greeted back effortlessly, still busy playing his deck.

"What're 'ya doing?" Lumapit si Suzy kay Neil.

Suzy stood behind Neil. She bent forward and peek over Neil's shoulder to see what's he doing in his laptop.

"What the heck is that?" Suzy asked as she saw what's within Neil's device.

"None of your business," her companion replied while tapping the laptop's keys.

Napasimangot na lang si Suzy. Looks like Neil is not in the mood to exchange conversation.

Out of the blue, unti-unting bumangon si Ele. He blinked thrice, before stretching his arms upward. Yawning, he rubbed his eyes.

"What time is it?" Ele uttered, half asleep.

"Kaka-recess pa lang," sagot ni Suzy habang nakasilip sa kaniyang orasan.

As Ele finally composed himself, tumayo siya at pinagpag ang kaniyang uniporme.

"Too early," he lifelessly said. Nagtungo siya sa edge ng rooftop at dumungaw sa metal railings, 'di alintana ang lakas ng hangin na sumasalubong sa mukha niya.

These people are weird. Hindi ko alam kung bakit o paano, basta para bang nakikita ko ang sarili ko sa kanila.

"Hindi n'yo man lang ba babatiin ang bago nating ka-member?" Suzy pointed at me. "This is the first recess we have with her! Greet her! C'mon!"

"Uh... Yeah. Hi, there."

"Um... Hello?"

"..."

Neil and Genesis greeted with an evident boredom, still focus doing their own stuffs. Ele, on the other hand, remains quietly uninterested.

Napairap na lang si Suzy. "Gosh! You three are hopeless!"

I awkwardly smiled. Mayamaya'y naglakad pabalik sa'kin si Suzy, with a grim expression on her face.
